This is a drawing I started last year and abandoned but I'm thinking about resurrecting it! I've always been drawn to American Bittersweet perhaps because it was one of the first plants I could identify as a child and I found it quite unique in its showy red and orange splendor. According to traditional American folk magick Bittersweet was used for protection and healing. A sprig tied onto your clothing will break a hex and a twig placed under your pillow will help in forgetting an unhappy love affair.
