A couple of pics of Maria Tallchief, a true trailblazer in the ballet world. She was the first Native American prima ballerina in the U.S. and would dazzle "audiences with her speed, energy and fire." A unique and influential performer who I very much admire.

Love this shot of Isadora Duncan, which was taken in 1918. She’s frozen in time, but you can soooo feel her moving. Isadora has always been a big inspiration to me. I love how she had the guts to break the rules, both in the way she danced and in the way she lived her life. Even her death was unusual... her neck broken by a scarf she was wearing when it caught in the wheel of a car.
