Remember a few years back when the news (even mainstream media) reported on hazardous materials that were found in toys that were made in China which had to be recalled?
When items are imported to America they are usually shipped by sea in these huge metal containers by the ton & because we produce so little over here we take in a lot of product. And some of these countries have questionable safety practices/regulations & as a result of this everything in your home risks being contaminated. And of course you would think that once its shipped over here that we would inspect the items ourselves with a fine toothed comb, but we dont. If I'm correct I believe they check less the 10% of each container and if it "looks" good its put on the shelves of your favorite discount store. These items include but are not limited to: vehicle parts, cell phones, fruits, vegetables, fish, clothes, mannequins, furniture, your child's toys etcetera
Why is this important to you? If you love shopping at Wal-Mart because of their insane deals, be aware that almost everything in Wal-Mart was mass produced with little to no regulation in China. China has been known for its unfair treatment of its factory workers & less then stellar factory conditions that have little to no regulation because China is paid the big bucks by huge companies to mass produce items by any means.
Please think about this the next time you visit Wal-Mart, that sale item you buy could be your last or your child's.
*There are rumblings in the news that soon we'll even be receiving a large portion of chicken from China as well as pork in the not so distant future.*

And the book I have been eagerly waiting for did not come in the mail today, which means that I won't know if it's come and won't be able to read it until this Friday since I won't have access to my mailbox. *sigh* it really stinks that my favorite series is published in the UK because it means that I have a week or two lag in getting the book.

because I live in freaking America
and I cheated and watched online
But but but it's only 5:40 over here
and so for the next infinite amount of hours
our portion of the merlin fandom

as they all suffer like those of us who watched it earlier again
