Lazy, Hazy Summer Days

It is hotter than Satan's nether regions out here in Riverside this summer! While great for swimming (which we have been doing  A LOT of) it's not so great for sweating at practice. We have given ourselves a little time this August to enjoy the rest of the summer before buckling down again in September. But, even with practicing only once a week, we are still getting stuff done.

The Jezebelles are always dreaming big. We have started planning out our October show at The Fox in Riverside. Let's just say that The Jezebelles love our hometown and Halloween and that is going to make for one epic night! Get out your old platform goth boots-we can't wait to show you what we have in store. Until then, stay cooler than the Fonz in this heat.

An acoustic celebration of our 4 year anniversary!!!

Reflecting on all the opportunities that we've had and all the lives that have been forever changed by this Jezebelles experience, it's hard to imagine that only 4 years ago, this new beautiful life of ours didn't exist! It started with a small seedling of an idea and a handful of strangers meeting at Back to the Grind coffee to share ideas about starting a project that had never been done before, and one that most people didn't understand at first. That little seed grew and evolved and gave us countless, once-in-a-lifetime experiences that will be close to our hearts forever.

  From the wonderful artists, photographers, directors, and fellow musicians we've gotten to work with, to all the dream venues weve gotten to play, plus all the new friends we've made along the way. None of this could have been possible without such a strong core team of visionaries and optimistic women backing this concept from day one. 

  Monday marked our 4 year anniversary as not only a band and a choir, but more importantly, a family. We celebrated by jumping onstage at The Fox Theater's open mic night and were overwhelmed by the turnout and Live Nation's support of local artists. If you missed it, click here to check it out! We want to thank everyone that has helped us thus far, and look forward to all the adventures and new friends we will make in the next 4 years! Brainstorming, acoustic performances, and our DREAM VENUE booked!

We proudly announce that the Jezebelles are getting ready for some exciting new adventures, including getting back to the basics! This Sunday's practice was all about dreaming big and giving back to our fans. We discussed ways to share individual stories, such as personal struggles, to reach out and let our fans know that we too had ups and downs, but it never kept us from dreaming and achieving long-term goals! Speaking of goals, we were asked to play at one of our DREAM venues, the Fox Theatre in downtown Riverside on October 27,2014!  For further details, check out our website at www.GirlRockChoir.com ...we will post as soon as we find out more!

Also, we decided that we will be performing acoustically at different venues on Mondays once a month. We will be stripped down, singing with Kelsey playing acoustic guitar.  Practice was very uplifting this week, with new adventures ahead for us..as the lyrics of "Madness" say, "One step beyond!" So hold on tight and away we go...to the new chapter in America's ONLY all girl rock choir! Hope to see some old faces as well as new ones at open mic night at the Fox Theater in Downtown Riverside this following Monday, July 21st!!

album release, sailor hats, music video talk..OH MY!

Happy Birthday, America!

These past couple of weeks have been a whirlwind.

Since our performance at the Pink Parlour Festival, we were prepping for our exciting record release show at the BEAUTIFUL Riverside Municipal Auditorium, where we played with some talented musicians for the local showcase that evening. We had so many family and friends, new and old, moving and shaking along with us. We also had our new t-shirts and cds for sale. The feedback we got was tremendous. Thank you all for your support and for wiping our inventory in half. And thank you to Riverside Live Nation for your support of local music! We truly appreciate the love!

Speaking of cd's...have you checked out our EP of original songs? There's a lot of blood, sweat, and tears that went onto that album and we couldn't be more excited to have it saturate your ears. Our music producer, Mike Cosgrove, really outdid himself by taking on this crazy project to record 13 girls on one album. He's so talented, it works and sounds amazing. So amazing, that we recently hooked up with the boys from Let 'em Have it Productions to talk about the latest treatment for our upcoming music video. We are beyond ecstatic to work with Clint and Logan again. They were the guys behind our first music video, "Chuck You!"
