8: First kiss.
It was hard for Raven to admit, even to herself, that she felt something towards Starfire. Every time she thought about reaching over and holding her hand when they meditated, the idea would be shoved into the back of her mind. She couldn't develop feelings for one of her team mates. What if their relationship went wrong, and she had to deal with living with Starfire? So, for awhile, the purple-haired female pushed her feelings aside and continued to work and live with Star, trying her hardest to remain distant. It wasn't hard, surprisingly. A few lies of her being sick and that she had new books she wanted to start reading on, and it kept her team mates at a distance, only one of them -usually Robin- ducking into her room to make sure she was still breathing, before leaving her alone once more. The solitude was nice, for awhile. But she knew she'd have to come out eventually, much to her dislike. She picked up her mug from her bedside table and ventured outside, finding the living room to be mostly empty. Except, of course, for Starfire. She ducked her head and moved to the kitchen, moving around quickly in order to retreat back to her room. Come on, you never know if she likes you back. Tell her. Raven shook the thought away. Who would want her, of all people? After several more minutes, she came to a conclusion. She was going to do it. Raven wasn't going to hide anymore. She ignored the fear building up in her chest as she moved closer to the girl, who was sitting on the couch, her attention on the TV. Setting her nerves aside, Raven sat down next to her, waiting until she turned her head, to lean forward, her lips pressing softly against Starfire's. It was over within two seconds. Raven stood, keeping a blank face as she sipped her tea as she walked back towards her room, fighting to keep her hands from shaking. She did it. She actually kissed her. Holy shit. Raven let her bedroom door shut behind her as she set her tea down on the bedside table, sighing softly as she laid down. What the hell did she just do?
