I've been distracted lately by thoughts about someone not just holding a tiny but like… holding their individual body parts. Like carefully taking their hand or lightly grasping their shoulder. Maybe they're being playful and dangling them by the leg, but they have to be so mindful about not crushing their ankle. They lean in close, trying to make out the feelings of individual miniscule fingertips on their skin. They’re playing with their small friend’s feather-soft hair, flicking it around. Maybe they’re having a warm, intimate moment, the little one laying her cheek on her partner’s finger, and he's eeeever so carefully holding her head in a gentle grasp. Just the sheer amount of TRUST and vulnerability there makes me weak.
