This week I spent an absurd amount of time making the mini score display in the upper right. 

The reason it was so difficult is because I had to go through the scoring code which I wrote about ten months ago. Ten months ago I barely knew what I was doing, so my code is absolute trash. It works, but running through it feels like being inside the mind of a madman.

I still have a small glitch that sometimes happens on the 10th frame but I think I’ve figured out what I need to do to fix it.

Also, I finally added some sound design! It’s not perfect but it’ll do for placeholders for now. Check out the little hip-hop beat I made that plays under the sound effects! I used Genny, a Sega Genesis sound-chip emulator virtual instrument, to make the music and I think it’s kind of cool. What do you think?
