I’m just chilling, listening to the Goo Goo Dolls... I’ve never sat down and listened to one of their albums before, but I grew up hearing them a lot. They’re from Buffalo NY, and around here, they’re incredibly popular.

So I see track 7, “Amigone”, and to most people this would appear to be just a trivial little mispelling, squishing the words “am i gone” into one, probably just to make it more memorable, nothing you’d think to much about. But, if you’ve spent any time in Buffalo, well...

Yes, that’s right. We have a CHAIN of funeral homes called “Amigone”. It’s not an unfortunate pun, it’s the name of the family who owns them. And The Goo Goo Dolls wrote a song about it....
