I have a serious problem with wanting scully to have her own wlw romances every time she interacts with and has some tension with a woman.... Like first it was Esther from Kill Switch and now it's this woman from Sixth Extinction:

You're telling me that Scully and Amina shared a hot tent on a beach doing research together for at least a few days to a week and didn't fuck even once? No. You're wrong. Mulder is actually fine over in the states and he and Diana can have each other because Scully is with the love of her life, Amina <3

X Files season 7 episode 1, The Sixth Extinction

Spoilers alert!!!!

I think they could’ve dedicated a whole episode to Scully and Dr Amina Ngebe working on the spaceship puzzle. It would be fucking awesome. They could flesh out Dr Amina’s character; have two women working together for once; inject a bit of much-needed character diversity; show more of Scully in her unnatural habitat, trying to push onwards for the sake of Mulder and to broaden her understanding and to come to terms with the spiritual aspects of the spaceship. Plus, Scully and Ngebe look incredible together... 

With Ngebe’s background in biology and Scully’s in medical science, they would have LOADS to talk about, especially while working together towards decoding the key, but also because they are both women working in male-dominated areas. And if they’d worked together more, they might have presented more of a united front against Dr Barnes, and either met his crazy ass head on or made an attempt to take some of the evidence they were working on back with them for safe keeping.
