Because like Izuku gets hit with a quirk and he can’t remember shit, he’s with people he doesn’t recognize in a place he doesn’t like. Their trying to make him remember by showing him pics and videos and newsfeed, inside jokes all that shit. He doesn’t have a fucking clue what their talking about though, he’s in denial because he wouldn’t do that. He wants to be a hero!! Why would he....
They get frustrated but their still trying and it gets so scary. Tomura eventually goes to his Sensei for help and that hits the nail in the coffin because what the absolute fuck. Visiting All For One emits fear into him, he can’t move or breathe because it feels like death.
He’s confused and overwhelmed and at the first opportunity, he runs. At first he wants to go home, go to somewhere familiar. Then he sees the news again, their talking about him. He realizes he...he can’t go home. He-

Heroes eventually get wind of it because the villains actually beat the shit out of the guy who used his quirk on Izuku but left him alive just in case there was a way to reverse it. He doesn’t have his quirk anymore and his throat is beyond repair but he can still communicate.
Bakugou (third year) is ecstatic. He’s known his mistakes and the devastation he felt seeing Deku on Tv not as a hero, but as a villain. But when the news reaches him about Deku losing his memories? Something bubbles up in his chest. This, is his second chance. This is his chance to make things right. He just has to find him and fix things.
