DP X DC Prompt
There is an over saturation of fics using the same tropes to get Danny to interact with the DC world. Mostly Jack and Maddie are bad parents. Danny is running from the GIW. The Justice League randomly summons him. But Danny and his problems seem very removed from the DC universe. So I thought, what about giving Danny a villain that could also be a Justice League villain. That they eventually have to combine forces to beat.
My villain is based off of how fucking terrifying Amon is from Lord of the Mysteries (iykyk).
Danny is the ruler of the infinite realms. Has been for centuries. His fraid from his life in Amity park joins him between their reincarnations and his “afterlife” is actually pretty great.
Danny is insanely overpowered (could solo the justice league if he wanted) but therein lies the problem.
Pariah Dark was never able to comprehend or wield the power that comes with being the ruler of the infinite realms. Pariah wasn’t infitite. Danny died with infinity running through him, molding him into a being of infinities.
He has infinite powers, rules and manages infinite realms, but he and the entirety of the Infinite Realms is threatened by someone with just one.
The power to steal someone’s Authority.
This being started small. Stealing the authority of their parents. Their school teacher. The hall monitors.
Then moved onto the Police. Military Generals. The President. Dictators. World Emperors. Gods.
Then they found a ruler of an afterlife.
That is when they learned of a being with the authority over the Infinite Realms. Over Infinity. And that was when the Infinite Realms learned of them.
Danny cannot fight this with fists and power. He cannot fight at all. All he can do is dismantle the power structure he spent centuries building for the Infinite Realms, return it to the anarchist wasteland that it was when Pariah “reigned”, and run.
He runs to the DC universe and hides. He never touches his ghost powers. He never “goes ghost”. He does his best to just be some random kid that no one would think had any authority ever.
But he knows this being is razing their way through dimensions, trying to find him. To rule the realm that connects all realms is the ultimate authority. And it’s only a matter of time before they find their way to this universe.
Meanwhile the Justice League learns of Hell getting overthrown and then left to rot. No longer in charge of damned souls and no way to contain them. And hears that the being that did so is on a course to their universe. And that they need to start planning if the authorities they have as heroes will cause them to fall as Hell did, or if they all must descend into lawless vigilantes once again to hope at protecting their world as this being searches for something yet unknown.
