How do you guys make AMVs?

Labyrinth Ear is just BOTW/TOTK Zelda, it's basically her voice, I wanna use so many of their songs for AMVs with her but gahh no knowledge?

Memoir PT I

A few months ago, I've started writing again and in the process of writing not one but two books. One is memoir and the other is a script for an AMMV (Animation Memorial Music Video) I'm working on for kid I barely knew in grade school. All I know is name was Travis. He had lots of friends and some of them I know, but I barely talked to him. I feel like I should make this AMMV which is dedicated in his memory because even though I hardly knew him, I want to do something nice. You see, not only that I'm a writer—I'm also a video editor (which I think I'm good one at that). I've started video editing in early 2006 when I first heard of YouTube. However, I entered the virtual world of AMV video editing. I made lots of friends though the AMV World. AMVs are different that traditional video editing. It requires the mastery art of compositing and video editing which is either created by ones self or more people involved. In my past video editing career, I did pretty much everything including anime. I did relationships, horrific events, life, and everything in between. I couldn't show you my works due to the Viacom incident of '08 and thus terminating my account and to make matters worse, my hard drive suffered data corruption following by a hard drive crash which knocked out my video editing reels.  I've came back in '11 knowing new rules have been in place and sharing my creative talent with you is somewhat very limited than it used to. When Google bought YouTube, I and many other users thought it wouldn't be bad. BOY DID WE UNDERESTIMATE IT! Now Google requires you to have a Gmail account to use YouTube which I think is downright stupid. Personally, I've never use Gmail since they share your email with 3rd party advertising companies. If you don't have a Gmail account and you want to use YouTube, Google will convert your email account to their Gmail services for you. I think Google should be sued for privacy concerns and making users convert their email to Gmail services. They should let us choose what services we want without the inconvenience of using online services. I know privacy is pretty much dead but don't we deserve some privacy without the 3rd party catch to signing up?  Anyways, I'm getting off topic. AMMVs are unheard of so I'm pretty much the only person who knows about this new genre. Here's what it looks like: • AMMVs vs AMVs AMMVs follow the same rules as AMVs, but AMMVs are memorial music videos that help sooth the hurt. They are no way trying to insult the victim who passed. AMMVs tell their story. I guess you can call it a hymn. AMVs use Japanese anime (e.g. like Naruto) to tell the story between two or more characters using one song of the editors choosing.

•AMMVs: AMMVs are hard to work with due to their extremely limited resources available. It has 'clean effects' like you would see in Cold Case with matching audio. There's is no wiki article about AMMVs so I'm telling you what's in it. AMMVs are meant to say goodbye to a loved one who has passed and the only way to say goodbye is to dedicate a video to that person rather giving a long speech about that person if that editor couldn't put it into words. No money is ever excepted. Ever!

Video Editing Part I

Years ago, I didn't have dreams (hard to believe, right?). It's true I've suffered through my rough life looking for inspiration, but didn't find any until I found a new york tumblr blogger from L.A who had very deep insightful posts and I gotta say she's one of the greatest writers who has ever lived.

I wasn't always a video/audio editor. If anything, I used to be a writer. I wrote stories, novels, and scripts. Alas, everything fell apart and I've stopped writing. A few years ago, I started up writing from scratch. So I bought books and ironically I've bought the same books she's bought...how weird. I didn't get bitten by the editing bug until in 2005—one of my high school European/Japanese friends named Jesse told me to go to YouTube. I was blown away by the art of video editing. Each moving picture had a story with the correct song attached to it. So I made an account and got Sony Vegas Pro, Final Cut Pro (which was easier), Soundforge (audio), and Premiere Pro. Then If I needed to do something quick, I would use Windows Movie Maker (XP).  I made friends in the AMV community and I asked them to teach me the fundamentals of AMV editing (they did) and I slowly became one of the top AMV editors on YouTube.  However, as the techniques were getting more sophisticated and the hardware I was using was quickly getting outdated by the month. I realized that I need a computer to fit my needs since I do pretty much everything from the writing to the editing of the sequence.

If I had to keep something, I would pick video editing. That's the only thing I'll never change from my past. It will always be apart of me no matter where I go...
