I don't get writers block. I get spells of really awkward writing. But when I give myself the permission to write badly, I can always write something .

And I find that if you write anything, even nonsense words, it gets your mind in writing mode and jolts the writing section of your brain to life. Editing also helps, actively getting into the story. Rereading and doing anything related to the story(like notes, drawing characters, even writing posts about it on tumblr-- even thinking of it-- better than nothing!) helps to some extent, but not as much as actively getting into it where you left off or just before.
