Summary: Sam Campbell is a sorcerer-in-training at The Academy, an exclusive facility for gifted “Specials,” or kids with gifts and talents of the supernatural variety. Given up as a baby for the chance to grow up to be a master magic-wielder, Sam grew up among other children who tested positive for magic potential as babies. Sam has an imaginary companion, who he calls “Dean,” who has watched over him since the day he was removed from his birth family at six months. When a young hunter named Dean Winchester brings a captured creature to The Academy for the students to study, Sam’s imaginary friend suddenly disappears. Now it’s Dean himself – the real Dean – who occupies Sam’s thoughts. But how can Sam and Dean be friends – or more – when they come from such different worlds?
