Great for lazy treat or convenience food!
a save on foods grocery haul. tbh the cashew carrot ginger soup wasn’t the greatest
Ever since @amyskitchen cheeseless pizza has been available in my local grocery store I have been in pizza heaven. 🍕🍕🍕 When I order a pizza in a restaurant I always just opt for cheesless in lieu of oily faux cheeses that sometimes are even more unhealthy than the real thing, so it's amazing to find a frozen pizza to match my preferences! .. I tricked mine out this time with sauteed wild Maitake mushrooms (love that it already comes with shitake mushrooms!) and my homemade vegan feta 😍🍄
Amy’s Black bean & Vegetable Enchiladas! Found @/Fred Meyers

I can't explain how happy I was to finally find @amyskitchen cheeseless pizza in my local grocery store!! 🍕🍕🍕 .. Made with simple ingredients and not bogged down with any scary fake cheese! The flavor profile was amazing to begin with but I also added some pickled banana peppers and pickled jalapeno for some tanginess, and also sprinkled with crushed red pepper and nutritional yeast! So nice to have a solid frozen pizza option for those lazy nights
Time to boycott Amy’s Kitchen.
Organic Food Products: Chemical-Free or Chemical-Filled?
Food options for the population around the world is immense as various regions are known to produce some of the most healthiest and flavorful products. This includes a mass production of organic food which is actually proven as the “better" choice. This is primarily because organic farming rejects the use of harmful chemicals and follows a sustainable environmental practice to grow crops.
However, the feasibility to fully grow organic does not fit for everyone. A non-profit organization named Environmental Working Group (EWG) is known to publish a yearly list of organic food products based on the pesticide levels found in veggies & fruits. If you are in search for a “worthy” organic food item, do refer this list that is useful for farmers, manufacturers and consumers. Some of the prime products ranked in the EWG list are:
Apple
Apples usually tend to acquire a higher rank in the EWG's offenders list, since the fruit protects a number of pesticides which are used by traditional farmers to evade pests and diseases. Majority of the harmful material is contained in the apple skin; however, it is also known as the healthiest section of the fruit.
Peaches & Nectarines
These stone fruits comprise of an edible, thin skin and are delicate in nature. This is why they are sprayed with numerous poisons to avoid any sort of molding and hush away pests. Chemical traces still remain even if you peel your nectarines or peaches. As per doctors, purchasing the organic versions for these fruits is particularly important in case you are pregnant or have children.
Strawberries & Blueberries
It should be known that, berries are heavily exposed since they don’t possess a tough outer skin. Also, they are largely grown unprotected, there are high chances of vulnerability in relation to pests which leads to pesticides as at foremost solution.
Milk
The organic food and beverages market is majorly lifted due to the organic advancements made across the dairy industry. The modification of traditional farming methods that now include hormones being injected in cows so as to enhance milk production. During this process, some of the hormones do get passed onto the consumer. This is the reason why many people are opting for precautionary ways and are seeking help from organic dairy farming.
Peanut Butter
Many households cherish the use of peanut butter, especially among kids. Hence, shifting your inclination towards organic peanut butter is a safe option. Not only it would be pesticide-free, but many brands these days abide a healthier recipe to enhance the goodness. Give yourself time to search a brand which does not depend on the sugary, unnatural stuff used for the manufacturing of peanut butter.
Potatoes
Considering the demand for potatoes in America alone, shifting to organic versions wouldn’t lead to any good. Scrub or peel the potato to find traces of harmful chemicals (still). According to EWG, the average potato held more pesticides by weight as compared to any other tested food. Therefore, if you really wish to consume a healthy diet, then be determined enough to shell out more money for organic taters.
Cucumbers
The conventional varieties of cucumber are usually treated with a wax (petroleum-based) to retain the freshness. Interestingly, this wax is known to hold the already stuck pesticides, and therefore it gets impossible to entirely wash it off in your kitchen. On the other hand, organic varieties ignore this wax, offering a superior choice which is both safe and nutritious. It is advisable that while consuming conventional versions of cucumber, do wash and peel the skin; although it doesn’t guarantee the complete removal of chemicals.
Tomatoes
In the organic form, tomatoes are ranked as the only vegetable or fruit which has proven to be extremely nutritious. A study revealed that organic tomatoes comprise nearly double the flavonoids concentration, which is indeed very healthful.
Hence, looking at all these organic food options which are either highly or slightly impacted by pesticide or other chemical concentrations, it is quite clear that the need for organic farming is the need of the hour. We cannot survive on chemicals, be it knowingly or unknowingly, as it will bring a shutdown to human existence. The EWG list is quite beneficial in staying aware about the food options which are less impacted by synthetic chemicals.
