It’s tragic that zenitsu does fall into the stereotypical “weirdo” trope that is in most anime, but let’s be honest, his is actually smart.

He isn’t just a perv for the sake of being a perv. The mangaka actually reasoned his behavior with his backstory (something that a lot mangakas don’t do, or if they do, not effectively).

Zenitsu is quite literally like that because of a trauma response. Because of his several exes, he never learned what appropriate romantic affection is. This is something that can ACTUALLY happen to people in real life.

This is why I love him. He’s such a complex character.

house of wax rant I made to my friends and also if I get anything wrong or don’t meet ur interpretation, I’ve only watched it once my entire life and it was today, I’d have to watch it again to analyze it fully (ALSO also, had to divide it between the thing bc tumblr wouldn’t let me post it as a full paragraph) Anyways, yap commence!!!

Ik I’ve been in Vincent Sinclair brainrot but Lester and Bo’s backstory is gen really sad and stuff I mean we didn’t even KNOW that Lester was related to the two, they could’ve just been close friends until the end where the officer stated Trudy had 3 kids not 2. And Bo? Oh don’t even get me started on him they had that boy STRAPPED and DUCT TAPED to a chair to EAT and they HIT that boy dude atp all of the Sinclair brothers are my favs cause im gonna be honest NONE of them deserved anything. Yes they killed but let’s take into account, how they were mentally? Vincent was well, deformed, hence the wax mask- but still loved. Bo was atleast acknowledged, hence the fact that we atleast see baby photos of him with Vincent but Lester? Again, just ignored. Like it’s genuinely so hurting to me because I UNDERSTAND Lester too a bit IMO Lester didn’t really like the idea but still went along with the murders, because of the line “you can get use to anything as long as your around it long enough” and sure ik he was talking about roadkill but it could also be a metaphorical thingy Going along with that line, I also think he went along with the kills to honor his mom, to feel like she’d be proud of him. Same with Bo, I think he stated somewhere in the film “see how much more realistic they are now?” Or smth along those lines to Vincent, telling us that he told Vincent to use real people for the wax figures and because of that, it also leads me to believe he wan tee d everything to be perfect for his moms legacy what else can I just yap about I also believe that since Vincent was the most loved, that’s why Bo was such a little piece of shit to him. I remember when Bo was in the house getting the bows out of his body that one of the victims shot him with, Vincent wanted to help but Bo was treating him like a dog, saying “get! Get!” To tell him to get away, also telling him how much of a freak he is. This imo obviously roots from the favoritism from their parents I think I honestly get so much hurt in my heart from no bc we see his wrists as an adult and he still has marks from where he was strapped down to his chair as a kid “Readinf this with no context is kinda interesting -oomf” thank you I really like this movie ik I watched it for the silly gayness but I find genuine comfort in it with the characters, plot, the fact that the victims aren’t DUMB for once, etc dude I could go on about everyone’s analysis for hours dude, even the victims (even though I don’t remember all their names) back to some vincent stuff cuz im rainbow uhh I find it really sweet that even though he’s, slightly got a little manipulated and things by Bo, he still really cares about his brother(s?) like, even though he can’t talk much since his vocal cowards are lowk messed up along with hos face and stuff, he still cried. He cried and he YELLED for his brother, again even though Bo was an asshole to him “GENUINELY A VLESSING BRO -other oomf” I KNOW LIKE WDYM THE CHARACTERS.. DONT have an IQ of 1? And most of the victims DO but the two that got away? OUH get me some of THAT more PLEASE “they finally scored higher than a nat 1 on their intelligence check - other oomf again” YES DUDE GENUJENLY I breathed a sigh of relief I also genuinely like how even though there’s, blood and gorey stuff in there it’s not a lot of blood and gore for a murder movie actually, it’s more focused on the brothers, the victims and how everything is I also really like the ending of HoW too, I like how it all ‘burns down’, like a genuine stop to it, it’s an end. It’s very symbolic in a way I’ll send the plot summarized I sent my friend wait so basically a group of teens/young adults are out camping for the night to go to a football game the next day, but there’s a car that just watches them. One guy throws a bottle at the light to get the guy to go away and yeah he goes away, fast forward next day one of the two cars breaks down and two of the group members go (one is the sister of the earlier dude that threw the bottle) and they find Bo and basically uh Bo says “wait 30 minutes god fuckin

fucking damn” and then like, they go to the wax median while waiting for Bo and Vincent (the MAN YOU ARE) lowkey slimes the man out whenever they get to Bo’s car and the guy says he wanted to go to the bathroom so he went in Bo’s house. Anyways then the rest of the group comes over gets killed the two siblings survive and at the end we find out that there’s a third brother and his name is Lester and u see him earlier in the movie he’s the one that took the two people to the wax town anyways summary of HoW even more; basically everyone needs a hug and teenagers need to stop being stupid also I like how uh wait lemme get the gif (Vincent tilting his head) This scene people use it as a “awww Vinny so cute awww” dude right before he came out behind that wall he had a stick through a girls head and recorded it on her friends camera don’t get me wrong in that scene he IS CUTE in all his glory I just like really find it, interesting that everyone forgets what happened legit right before that and I also even though im glazing him like actual crazy I don’t forget he’s a killer dude, unlike some people that just ignore their fav characters flaws dude like YES he did that im not denying but YOU can’t deny that he’s still my husband. Ok? Ok. OH OH OH ALSO I really do like (even though it’s also devastating) that there’s wasn’t a second movie, it leaves it up to you what Lester did after kinda. Was he devastating and went after the victims again for revenge? Did he get better? Did he grieve and actually become a better person? It leaves it all up to you which I adore Though I do wish there was more HoW content, like idk, I just really love the movie dude and I need more content of Lester dude. He was there two scenes. Technically three but they were kinda merged. yeah 3: I really adore all the brothers even if I get frustrated and stuff from time to time at Bo and stuff, I love all of them so much though, Bo would curse me out for preferring Vincent ngl probably turn me into wax figure himself to prove a point like “SEE?! I can do it too Vince! You ain’t the only uh, talented one under this damn roof! I don’t need you that much anyways..” (he would die for his brothers, and technically, did) Dude I can’t stop thinking about house of wax euthanize me

Even though from an outsider perspective it seems like Barnaby is overbearing with Wally but it doesn't come across that way to Wally and actually appreciates Barnaby's attention and support. He would talk less in conversations if Barnaby wasn't there to make sure he got a say in the discussion. Which is why I think Barnaby told Howdy that Wally has a question for him before letting Wally ask Howdy about Homewarming.

Wally doesn't read his body well and will regularly forget to make time to eat or drink something. Sometimes he gets so zoned into his painting he doesn't realize he's been there for hours and needs a break.

Wally is a slow walker and Barnaby is very mindful of that by offering to carrying him or making sure other people slow down for him. Howdy tends to forget he walks too fast for Wally and has longer legs than him.

Barnaby is also generally his source of comfort when he's feeling awful and needs time away from Home for . . .reasons. He sleeps better snuggled up to Barnaby.

Also from his phonecall from the spring update he often learns social skills and phrases from Barnaby. Like understanding the phrase "lend an ear."

But i do feel like as questionable barnaby’s attachment towards Wally is, it is in a way healthy for Wally and barnaby. I feel like Wally was never given the tools of how to navigate being neurodivergent and the fact that he knows very little about stuff like feelings and reading people does make me believe he wasn’t helped before with that. But barnaby does make sure he’s ok. He does teach him how things work and Barnaby does advocate for Wally a lot. In the Christmas update Barnaby had Wally at first try figuring out how to solve his problem (that being making home happy for homewarming) and barnaby was there with him guiding him. And in the end he did explain it to him. I feel like Wally needed someone to give him the time and day to help him learn. Because Barnaby is patient with him and doesn’t belittle him or treat him less than and instead takes time to guide him i feel like that’s healthy. I also feel that as much as it helps Wally it does help barnaby. It’s like a healthy way for him to feel needed, wanted even. Something he didn’t get as a kid

But like most things, too much could be toxic. If barnaby relied too much on being in the caretaker and guide role for Wally and make it all he’s worth for, it can lead to unhealthy thinking patterns and even an obsession.
