"Ugh," Virgil said, leaning back in his chair and tipping it onto two legs. "We've been at this for hours, we should take a break."
Patton closed the book he was looking through.
"I think you're right," he said. "Weddings are fun! But wedding planning is tiring. And careful with that chair, honey. You might fall."
"Quite," Janus agreed. "But it will be well worth it. Our wedding shall be the event of the century. Our friends will talk about it for years to come."
"I just hope it won't be too stressful," Virgil said, leaning forward and putting all four feet of the chair back onto the floor.
Patton reached over, taking one of Virgil's hands into his own and squeezing it.
"We'll do everything we can to make you as comfortable as possible."
"Of course," Janus agreed. "That is one of our top priorities."
Janus then reached out, too, taking Virgil's other hand in both of his own. He rubbed reassuring circles into the back of Virgil's hand with his thumb.
"Thank you," Virgil said. "Really. It... it means a lot, honestly."
"Anything for you, my darling," Janus said honestly.
He then lifted Virgil's hand to his lips, pressing a kiss to the back of it. Patton immediately copied the gesture with Virgil's other hand.
Virgil laughed. "You two are in a romantic mood, aren't you?"
"We're planning our wedding, dearest, now is the best time to be romantic."
