Anaxos, My Base

My favorite of all the villages, cities, and areas is the small resort of Anaxos. I came here a month after my arrival in Greece, or rather Lesvos Island and even though my intention was to stay here for only a week, it has grown to two months. I simply cannot get myself to leave this resort with my outstanding accommodation at Dimitris Holiday Houses. I stay in one of these houses where I have a glorious view of long stretch of sandy beaches and the brilliance of the sea and travel daily to where I want to explore.

Not that Anaxos has a shortage of accommodation as the extensive accommodations include hotels, apartments, bungalows and more. Before I came to Anaxos I spent two nights in Molyvos at the OLIVE PRESS HOTEL and I have to say that if the rates were a little lower I probably would not have come to Anaxos. Therefore, I am happy that it was above my budget, simply because I intended to stay for months longer and if I stayed there, I would have missed my magnificent time in Anaxos.

Yesterday I went over to Petra, which are smaller than Molyvos, but quite larger than my base now, and it is overflowing with hidden treasures and lovely cobbled stone streets. It has great nightlife and quint bars and restaurants and I purchased some more trinkets and gifts at one of the many gift shops and galleries. No idea how I will get all my shopping home, but that is a problem for another day.
