my lovely lion, in Ancient Copper and Lustrous Jade
Inktober 7/10/2017 - Shy
had some fun with Amaco's Ancient Copper around the rim here
they're up on Etsy
Two of my faves
Swatches in my Midori MD notebook of two of my absolute favorite inks: Anderillium Luna Moth Green and Diamine Ancient Copper.
LMG is such a faerie green to me. It is pretty light and dry and really benefits from a broader, wetter nib. I bought my first eco with a stub specifically for this ink. I blind-purchased a bottle.
Diamine Ancient Copper is well-loved by many for good reason. I love the way it shades in writing, thought it doesn't really show on this example. I'm using up a sample of it right now, but I definitely want a bottle in the future.
Guess who is into fountain pens now
Inktober 8/10 - Crooked
Pre-Columbian, Moche, ca. 500 CE - 750 CE. Unusual Moche copper sculptural work. The composition is comprised of a copper pyramid; a male figure sitting on top of the pyramid, while silver waves undulate below. The artisan possessed expert technique and executed remarkable forms and detailing. Note the elaborate geometric motifs adorning the pyramid for example, and the quaint positioning of the figure with his hands folded upon upraised knees. 3.6 cm long x 4.5cm high
