i've been thinking about the ancient dragons as parallels to natives

they had their own god, culture and society that got not only erased, but the draconic alliance proposed by godwyn never truly gave them any real benefit, mostly stole their power.

I know some lore theories connect the Ancient Dragons with the Sun Kingdon and put them at odds with the Nox and Eternal cities.

But my brain automatically puts Ancient Dragons at odds with the Abyssal Serpent—time and light against space and darkness, celestial vs cthonic.

If evolution gave simpler lifeforms more complex forms and varied limbs, then Ancient Dragons are the most evolved and the serpent the most basic. The first dragons were not dragons after all—they were snakes.

So, Flight Rising has released a new Ancient Dragon earlier today, and I thought I'd share some ideas of what I'm gonna turn at least three of my dragons into!

The medusa and scuttle tertiary traits are so cool, and as you can already tell I absolutely LOVE the primary mochlus and the secondary riopa genes!
