hello all, once again I am back from the windy city & hoooo boy when I say windy I really mean it !! between SURL and RADWIMPS I spent about a week up north & it snowed 3 (?) times I think. something I grew up with, but then I forgot how cold it can get and how long spring lasts in IL/WI. on monday, that momentous day, fondly entered into my calendar as 'RADWIMPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!<333' we waited in line for 4.5 hrs and. my god. it was FREEZING. I've gotten into this habit of bringing cards/small notebooks to play games like rummy & hangman with friends & family while we wait, but it was only about 30 mins before we couldn't even curl our fingers and had to put them away 😅 but ofc we'd wait no matter what !!!!! And RADWIMPS were so appreciative about the cold weather 🥺 at one point during the show yojiro said something like 'is this normal? and you're ok with it??' to which there were many 'no's!' and head shakes lol. and during all of this waiting I'm sure the band & crew were stressed tf out bc of the late cargo & possible cancellation. everyone was holding their breaths & crossing their fingers & I'm so so glad it panned out & so so thankful to everyone who made it happen.

BUT YES !!! guys idk what to do with myself now. I've only cried once so far, so I think I'm still processing but !! WHAT A SHOW !! WHAT AN EXPERIENCE !!! I've never jumped & waved my arms around so much during any other concert, not even ff. luckily I was close to takeda, so his clapping helped me keep the beat 😁

they played so many songs that I love, love, love & wouldn't have expected without knowing the (likely) setlist. ギミギミック ! 洗脳 ! IIU ! tummy ! I was a mess during カナタハルカ -- could not feel my legs & I swear my heart grew 3X in size & out my ribcage.

and all the while, in between songs, yojiro checked in with the crowd, told everyone how happy he was to be there, that it worked out after all, and talked about the lake & chicago pizza (lou malnati's is better than giordano's – fight me). the call & response was so fun !! the sea of flashlights during sparkle 💗✨ and everybody kept commenting on how frick'n cool the lights & stage design were, which YEAH !!

I was so excited that they played a couple songs from FOREVER DAZE (of which I got the vinyl record❣️). avery wore his one piece t-shirt in case TWILIGHT was on the setlist, so ofc he was thrilled too. and SUMMER DAZE as the final encore song??? Perfect ending to the show !!!!! (tho I wish it didn't have to end.)

last night they officially sold out ALL (!) their north american tour dates, so I really really hope they feel the outpouring of love & come back soon. I love them I love them I love them so much & am so grateful they decided to tour here :')))
