I love Patrick O’Brian’s Aubreyad for many, many reasons, but the absolutely most important one is that it reminded me (or showed me, because despite the fact that I’ve spent more than half my life studying music that fact somehow managed to escape my notice) is that classical music is fun. That piece I struggled through for months, dreading the day I would have to show in public what I’ve Achieved - someone wrote it so people could gather around and enjoy it. Jack happily tapping out of time at a concert, him and Stephen playing the night away despite the fact that they are both out of practice (and not that good to begin with), the joy and pride with which rough, gruff seamen practice Handel - those scenes did more for me than years of so called “education”.
lately my brain has just been like
Copia Copia Copia Copia Copia Copia Copia Copia Copia Copia Copia Copia Copia Copia Copia Copia
and that makes me v happy bc i love him and he loves me and things are good with him :')
I want you to write to me, and this brick wall you built between us.

elsa: what magic ability would you want to have? (also hi! you seem super cool!)
Hi!! You seem super cool too!
elsa: what magic ability would you want to have?
mmm the ability to teleport into a pocket dimension whenever I require. Time would stop outside of the pocket dimension and I can just lie in a room of pillows and fairy lights and cats until the reason I needed the pocket dimension has passed and then I’d go back to face the real world.
After two weeks of unexpected deaths, funeral preps, and just plain old heartbreak, I think it is finally time to get back to whatever kind of normal I can. So here I start... with an answer to a question, and then a question.
Currently I’m taking a break from governesses (OMG Thanks for the recs and info) and I’m reading ALL THE STEPHANIE LAURENS I CAN FIND. I’m currently working on Impetuous Innocent.
So.... What are you reading?
