Aerion is the most insistent about this at first. he wants to be like Muña and Kepa, and follow the old ways. he for sure talks to them all the time in HV, making his own as strong as possible. and he's always talking about his future wedding, even at like 7/8. he remembers their's and knows that he wants the same thing. he is committed to all things Valyrian.
the other kids also use HV, learning from their parents/father and uncle, it becomes a natural second language to all of them, when they're young, it's to shit talk each other. they're always getting yelled at for cursing each other. but there was this idea that Valyrian tradtions were just… the way to do things. even before any of them had spouses in mind. even before they actually wanted to get married, they knew they wanted to get married in robes and with blades in hand, over in a sept with capes.
and then they do start finding mates.
Daeron and Valarr become quite smitten, their murmurs stop being insulting one another or fighting over the last lemon cake or shit talking their siblings, but murmuring sweet things. holding mundane conversation in public for only them to understand. the two start touching each other's lips, down the center, like one might trace where a wedding band will lay one day.
Aerion has it rough, he falls for a lowborn Alpha who is self proclaimed to be "as thick as a castle wall"… teaching him Valyrian is… interesting. and Aerion is actually so pissed when he sees Valarr and Daeron getting to murmur softly to one another. and he has no idea if Dunk will give him the wedding he's dreamed of for years (he would, of course. so long as he's repeatedly assured he's not overstepping himself. which Aerion will say no. always. he's having his fucking wedding.)
over all, the thought is on all the kids minds, evenly quietly, that that's what they may one day aspire for.
their parents/father and uncle do have to remind them that the majority of royal family as a whole knows HV though, at least a little, so…. while their conversations may be private in public. when they're home they need to… find some private space… to dirty talk one another. or they're all gonna hear it and know enough to understand it.
