Hi! Could you share some opinions about something I've wondered about with everything going on about line distribution. People assume all members would want more lines. Maybe they do but they might want less right? Jimin sings above his natural range and that can be a lot of strain. Maybe he is prioritizing dancing hard during performance? I think Jin might not mind having less too. I hope it's ok that I say this.
I think it's fine, anon. I honestly think Jimin is perfectly capable of throwing the Mother Of All Bitch Fits (see Osaka VLive for evidence) if he is pissed off about something.
I think the issue recently, which I inadvertently contributed to in a very small way I think, was about SONG distribution on CD 3 of Proof. Not about line distribution per se. And I honestly don't think it's a problem for Jimin personally. It's more of an "I want to see my bias get equal treatment" thing.
And that's not fair because guess what? Life's not fair. I was not in the room when decisions were made. I have no idea what Jimin was fine with or suggested or agreed to so it wasn't cool of me to white knight on his behalf even though I didn't really think that's what I was doing at the time. Jimin is quite capable of running his career without my personal opinion.
He may well be prioritizing his dancing, he may be doing a lot of singing on the new stuff, he maybe really did not want to strain his voice. I get what you're saying - training or no, singing in the high end of one's range as he often does can strain the vocal cords over time and cause an eventual loss of high notes (I know, I've lost several just from being old and decrepit). I AM NOT SAYING JIMIN CAN'T KILL A HIGH NOTE LIKE A BOSS. His range is insane and he has, for me, the most beautiful voice in BTS, with only Jungkook a close second. That's my opinion. And Lord help us if they're gonna perform Louder Than Bombs live, Jimin is gonna need his top end in great shape.
TL;DR: the man knows what he's doing and I should trust that. I still think it's okay to be a teensy bit lip-curly about not getting ALL the songs I wanted, but I'm very, very happy with what we got. And I trust and believe that Jimin is, too.
