I don't like this but I gotta like it
I am still so convinced that Across the Void’s failure was what led to the slow downfall of Choices as an app.
Things I do not say in the mega video:
The writers are sexist
It is morally wrong for you to enjoy the show
These are the only valid interpretations of these characters
I hate the show
The women need equal screentime to be empowered
The target demographic was never supposed to be young boys
I would like to cancel ninjago
Misogyny is the show’s defining feature
Ninjago is the biggest offender of this problem
The problem is that the show wasn't trying to make a feminist statement
I think the other really frustrating thing about Ohio is that Issue 1 was NOT well advertised (in my area there was like one commercial explaining why you should vote yes, and I only started seeing it like a week and a half ago) and it was intentionally written on the ballot with verbiage so convoluted and misleading my dad and I were both questioning which way we needed to vote after reading it, and then had to do a fair bit of googling to determine that ‘yes’ was the vote best in alignment with our values. If something is confusing and misleading to me, a person who is college educated, how must it have read to people in parts of the state that do not have the same access to education? How many people didn’t understand what they were voting for because it wasn’t in any way made clear to us.
So I’m on season 4 of my SPN rewatch and am just now finishing up episode 10. The one where Dean and Anna hook up. Now, I haven’t seen this episode since it originally aired. When I first saw it, I thought “Dang Cas is into Dean??” because of that weird look Cas makes when Anna and Dean make out. Now, I can see that they were planning on having a weird love triangle of Cas/Anna/Dean with Anna in the middle.
BUT YOU KNOW WHAT?? THE EXECUTION DID NOT WORK OUT THE INTENDED WAY AND IT JUST SEEMS LIKE CAS IS POSSESSIVE AND JEALOUS OF DEAN, NOT ANNA.
Like, how did they manage to mess that up so badly?? lol. That early Dean/Cas scene greatly affected how the fandom viewed their relationship, and the SPN team somehow managed to make it gay when it wasn’t intended to be.
Gay love really can pierce through anything, including planned storylines for TV shows.
me: has in-depth conversation followed by sporadic googling on “can you shave with a long-sword”

@grey-and-lavender replied to your post :
I'm sorry I'm now desperately curious about your accent
It just.... varies based on the topic/context, depending on where/when I picked up the English for this topic/context ? Eg I was in the UK the first I had to properly work in English, so work, public talk and any stressful situation gets a British accent from me. Overly-trying to seem friendly and nice and funny get an American accent, bc US TV shows and movies are where I picked it up. Everyday conversation with friends get a non-descript European accent with mistakes in the prononciation bc I picked it up reading, with no idea how to prononce any of it (and did not care until it was too late RIP).
