I hate how food sensory issues have become this shield for adults that want their scurvy behaviour to be enabled and celebrated. All of you don't have arfid, autism isn't an excuse not to improve your diet and it's common for kids to not want to eat foods then they get over it.
I've found learning to cook foods I have the most sensory issues with in a way I like has helped to build up my tolerance to that food in general. I'll never enjoy how some foods feel, but I know through trial and error you literally don't have to live this way.
An appropriate alternative to a child refusing food isn't Oreos or chicken nuggets and if it really is arfid or a food intolerance, there's other foods. It's ridiculous the lazy nonsense I see peddled online because adult babies don't want to deal with their sensory issues or their children's sensory issues because they think boundaries and rules are abuse and everyone wants to be this helpless creature.
