what makes me so mad about s5 stranger things as a follow up to s4 is that they spent s4 excusing the adults being far away from the kids. then, s5 starts with a quarantine. so, perfect. you have a built-in excuse to lock the adults out and spend s5 exploring how the younger characters would navigate their relationships/saving the world. it saves you time and it saves you from el being stuck with hopper and the boring overprotective joyce stuff. it could’ve been so good!! but no.
