MY PANERA ORDER IS ON ITS WAY
My back was in so much pain that I got dizzy and faint at work. My migraine from hell is just now subsiding three hours later. I felt like I had been hit by a bus and then dragged my body home. All of this because of my period. Fuck this nonsense.
I got the overnight bus from Glasgow to London last night so I didn’t really sleep properly. Got into my room at around five and just slept. Woke up and thought it was 9:30 am as opposed to pm for a second and freaked out thinking I’d missed my bus to Stonehenge. But all is well. And during my nap I dreamed I saw Hozier perform and dream me filmed it for you @murtargh
I should add that I didn't notice I had peanut butter on my glasses for 20 minutes and it was on my lens.
I can't find it now but there was this post about how no uterus owners in novels ever have periods (unless they expressively don't have periods because of unexpected baby shenanigans) and I thought a bit and really could think of only one (genre) novel I read in which a person menstruates BUT she's also living in the court of Louis XIV. and her smelling of blood gets the mermaid the king has just had imported really worried for her because in the ocean blood attracts sharks and what about land predators and OH MY GOD YOU CAN'T JUST RUN AROUND BLEEDING WHAT ABOUT LAND SHARKS COME HERE LET ME SAVE YOU. That was nice.
You know that feeling of dizziness you get when you get up too quickly? I've been experiencing that all day without getting up just by raising my head. Yaaay.
(On the other hand, I just sneezed nine times in a row and am ridiculously proud of myself.)
