i hate hate hate that “feminist” has been turned into some big ugly bad word that is hissed out of the mouths of people who view it that way.

the other day my friend was like “im not really a big feminist or anything” and i was like “girl i am the fuck? you don’t think women should be allowed to _______ or _____ or ____? i wouldn’t personally do ______ but i wholeheartedly believe that women deserve the opportunity to if they CHOOSE to. that’s like the whole point.” and she was like “oh well maybe i am then idk” like HELLO??? wym you’re not a feminist you don’t like reading and having a bank account and getting to leave your house alone?

Downstairs Hayle listened, guiding River toward the kitchen. He remembered Rivers coughing fits, and he could imagine them scaring the shit out of Lucas, especially after what was probably a very special moment. 

Hayle: From what you and Vy have said, he doesn't control his healing, I guess that explains why you look almost like before the accident. -he smiled gently at River.-As for what you feed a dragon in this situations, I think some meat, small cubes with some vegetables for one, and as we know, we all come with a sweet tooth, so we can make his favorite cookies for a sugar and comfort boost.

Chris watched the two, joining them in the kitchen to give a hand. He may not be the best cook, but he was decent and handing things over and doing the simple things. Hayden watched them from the sofa, also reacting to how well River looked. 

River shook his head. Guilt filled him alongside the sore pain in his chest. He knew his body well, he should have seen this coming. When he got the first signs, he should have stopped, should have done something different. But he was so worried about pleasing Lucas, about making this moment special for Lucas that he just tried to ignore it, push through, as he always did. He knew the fit would stop and he'd recuperate eventually, but he should have foreseen Lucas would be scared of this, would have tried to help. River had been incredibly irresponsible.
