Oh my god, it’s Wednesday. How the heck did that happen? Thanks for the tag this morning, @bookishbroadwayandblind! I’m excited to find out so many people are working on COC; I haven’t yet started any writing for it myself, but I’m thiiiiiiinking about it. That counts!

Since Sunday, I’ve mostly worked on the next chapter of All Too Familiar, so that’s what this WIP share is from. I hit a not-huge snag in one of my other WIPs and although the fix isn’t going to be that difficult, I lazed up and worked on what was going more smoothly. I’ll be back on track soon, and hopefully starting those Countdown fics as well. ✨Optimism✨

Snow gives me an idiotic grin as I rejoin him near a pastry booth. “Never thought of you as being good with kids,” he says.

I push Swithin’s probing fingers away from my nostrils. “I’m a master,” I deadpan. “Here, let’s get a couple of these mini pies; it’ll keep him busy.” I look at Snow from the side of my eye. “And you.”

“Ha ha.” Nevertheless, Snow crowds up nearer the case, and I catch a sudden glimpse of our reflections in the glass: me with a wriggling baby yanking on my hair, and him hiking the nappy bag strap up on his shoulder. We look…oh. Biting my lip, I glance over at Snow. He’s all but salivating as he contemplates stuffing his face. His very handsome, freckled face.

I wish I could pluck my soft heart from my chest and lock it in a box buried deep under the earth.

As always, Baz is keeping the yearning down to reasonable proportions XD. Have a great week, everyone! Steve’s starting to think he’s crazy. Billy finally feels safe around him, safe coming over when he has a split lip and a black eye, and he’ll curl up next to Steve on the couch.

And it’s crazy to think, even to imagine.

Billy’s sniffling, stifling sobs and scooting closer. And Steve is a monster because he would love to taste that split lip. Can’t unthink the thought now that he’s started, that he knows what it would taste like, Billy’s blood. Knows what the kiss would taste like, and once he knows he can’t stop craving a taste.

And the knowing is rending him to pieces because you don’t kiss your friends, you’re not supposed to do that when they’re hurt, when they’re crying.

But Steve knows. He knows what Billy’s kiss would be like. Could draw the moment as if from memory, right up until the moment when Billy would shove him away, hurt and scared again.

And so Steve just huddles a little closer on the couch. And tries to be a good friend.

I think the worst thing about writing is that I’m in dire need to write that slow burn Rafael Barba/Reader story, because apparently ya’ll are thirsty bitches for our sassy suspender wearing ADA and I’m willing to take one for the team.

I have a sort of plot, a vibe, and borderline personality disorder- enjoy the angst this is gonna bring.

Thank youuu! Yes Lambert indeed does have a fiance however.... its a cover-up! Theo is another spy that carries the information Lambert gathers and delivers it to Shamura's spy master! Moving into another kingdom with the disguise of a soon to be wed couple is a ploy to not seem suspicious! The two are not actually in a relationship, they are coworkers. Theo might have some diffrent feelings on the matter though...

Narinder obviously wont know about any of this and will be mostly pissy because of it. It will be his reason to (try to) not pursue Lambert!

But of course a lot of things will happen and these thoughts and story elements will change ❤️
