one thing that I actually really like about my absolutely fucked sleep schedule is looking at the street down the hill from a window and seeing a few cars driving around.

like whatcha doing there buddy? what’s your story? why are you driving around at 4am? is it a late night for you, or an early morning? or the norm? are you coming from or going to work? maybe finally getting home from a long road trip? a midnight emergency? I hope everything is well weary traveler. I hope you have a good sleep when you get home, or that you had a good sleep before you had to leave.

It's funny how the closer to my goal weight I get I don't really feel bigger than usual and end up only wanting to gain more. Sure, my clothes feel a lot tighter and I had to upsize my pants twice in the past half a year, but when I look at myself in the mirror, all I see is a chubby girl. Not too big, not too round, with almost no stretch marks just yet and this little voice in the back of my head keeps telling me that there's nothing I'd like to do more than to change that and absolutely blow up 💕

It was irony at its best.

One of the greatest men the nation has seen – and he was now forced to stay in bed, otherwise the medics promised to tie him up and inject him with tranquilizers. Although a rest without fever dreams would do him some good, Darius refused the offer as politely as he could, and in his desperate attempt to be ‘useful’, he tried at least to oversee some of the paperwork… which was interrupted by a persistent visitor.

“You should keep your distance. Though it is a common flu, you can also get sick.”

“I am sure I can handle a small fever a runny nose,” came the pale woman’s response. The annoyed look from the general earned a quiet chuckle from Diana. He was rarely sick, but when that happened, it felt as if the nature decided to throw all she had at him. “How are you feeling? You look pretty bad.”

“I feel pretty bad,” he tilted his head in her direction before relenting and sighing; an attempt was made to give her more space at the side of the bed and Diana made herself a bit more comfortable. “I did not take you as someone who’d pick up a nurse’s role willingly.”

“I do not. But I heard some complaints that you’re too eager to leave the bed when it is imperative you stay in one. They claimed they needed someone with an iron grip, and what kind of friend I would be if I would not help a good man out.”

The response earned a laugh from him which turned into a coughing fit soon enough. “No, you’re just happy to get a good laugh.”

The pale warrior shrugged:”That too. You’ve had your share, now it is my turn. Besides, you’d owe me one after this.”

“Hah.” And yet another coughing fit shook his body, though this time it was shorter. “If you are so adamant on earning a favour, start with giving me my tea. And glasses. It would be nice to see an actual face talking to me.”
