the thing with anakin and padmé's compatibility is that people already start with the preconception that the relationship is based on "i can fix him"/conservative bf and liberal girlfriend dynamics and focus on their differences (while flanderizing and ignoring A LOT about them) instead of looking at their similarities. which is an incredibly shallow and inaccurate way to view them. and this way the ACTUAL things they have in common and the values they DO share are overlooked in favor of pushing that narrow narrative that ig is just easier to digest then admitting that padmé didn't lead a perfect life and anakin isn't the incarnation of evil.

Okay honestly said maybe my brain got a little bit fringed and I lost the ability to critical thinking but... I liked episode 3. But only because of the action.

I tried to convince myself that Stargaze was good, but even without knowing Trimax, the series is lacking in many ways.

The thing is ... Stargaze fails to deliver emotional impact. It was last year that I read the volume with Leonof and I don't remember much but I still remember the emotional pain it gave me, the despair and that I needed a break after that volume. Vash suffered so much. There was guilt, death and so much emotional impact. While episode 3 of Stargaze is more of a walk in the park. There isn't enough room and time to develop the characters. In my opinion the gun ho gun fights shouldn't be just one episode. I know they only have like 12 episodes to tell the whole story which isn't nearly enough. You can't build tension, emotion, or character development. Nothing. Even vashs character feels so forced and empty to me. His depression doesn't impact me. I don't even care... There's no time to feel for him. To me he's still an empty shell bearing the weight of the world but not delivering what the show tries to tell me.

I get that Leonofs puppets got modernized but I still prefer old school wooden puppets because I think they're more creepy. I don't like that Leonofs abilities got reduced to just being a puppeteer with empty puppets. His true terror lied in the fact that he could disguise his puppets as real looking people and that Vash didn't know if they were the real deal or just puppets making the fight so much harder for him. It also gives a mental and emotional burden to Vash. He doesn't want to hurt his loved ones but has to fight regardless. It was pure mere action in Stargaze. I get they want to modernize the puppets to fit the futuristic theme. But. Well. It wasn't used well in my opinion. And as much as I liked her but Jessica was the only driving force, the only person like... No other person existed at all? I get there's no real companionship with Wolfwood. He wasn't there to fight right beside him, to support him like in trimax. Vash is on its own. I get that. To me Stargaze is just reduced to a simple action anime. And when I squint my eyes and forget about trimax then I liked it. I liked the action..even though there was no impact and consequences. But the fight looked good. When I squint my eyes actually I can understand why other people like Stargaze, at least just a little bit. But only when I ignore the things the show tries to tell me but fails to deliver.
