The asexuality rep in Kimi to Boku no Platonic.
We have Koba that is the love interest of the main character. He's a very lovely character that is kind, love theater and is a bit broken inside, he doesn't believe he can have a relationship because his past relationships doubted him. Made him feel as if his feelings didnt matter.
He talks about how he avoids parties because people keep joking about sex. He talks about how people think badly about virginity. As if sex is something that makes a better person.
And why dating need to be sexual.
And our main character, Suenaga wants to understand him. So we even have the definition of asexuality.
And they talk about it.
And Koba says hes romantic asexual. He has the romantic feelings but not the sexual feelings.
And we learn how his feelings were invalidated.
And Suenaga says to him there was nothing for him to apologize, that if he loved that person he loved that person. That both waiting sex and not wanting sex is normal.
That's so important, people can't erase your feelings. You are the only one that knows what's is true to yourself.
I really love this manga, I may make a post about how they fall in love slowly even if the manga is a short one.
