i’m a teeny tiny ball of fury and ire tonight, and i don’t even mean/want to be.
like, i’m surprised there isn’t an epidemic of scurvy on this island with the limited amount of fresh fruit/vegetables available anywhere: of the most BASIC of fruit staples, they sell near- and full-on rotten (and i’m not even adopting the slang, i’m literal here) fruit and we not only have to make due with just apples as a fruit source but mealy rotten ones at that. why aren’t people dropping like flies? i mean the only thing i think that’s been preventing me from it is my constant inhalation of orange juice whenever it’s available. and that’s just barely.
but i guess then, hearing about a scurvy epidemic would require it to be reported on at all, and that’s definitely not happening.
you know what it is? jams. that’s it. of course how could i forget about jams. that’s how people here stave off scurvy. ugh.
i’m just. so. sick. of being isolated. i’m sick of nothing being available ;u; i mean sure the island’s pretty in a “one of the most likely places in the country for fey creatures to live and thrive” kind of way, but there’re just. so. many. cons. to being here.
