The fact that Selena’s kids have red hair implies that Anakos’s magic, other than disguising her appearance and boosting her strength, altered her, and presumably Odin and Laslow, on a genetic/biological level which is honestly kinda disturbing to think about.

Imagine the kind of gut punch that would give the trio once one of them had a kid and the kid doesn’t really end up looking like them.

Ooh, I think I've posted a very similar "does Anankos just change them on the surface like a glamour or are they genetically altered?" type posts before but!! I don't think I ever considered how the Trio would feel if they felt their child didn't resemble them! That didn't even occur to me!

Maybe the Trio wouldn't even realize it was a genetic difference themselves until Ophelia/Soleil/Other Child is born and they have the same features the Trio never had before coming to Nohr. And they love their baby and their baby looks like them! But also... not like how they imagined their child would look. Even if the genetic alterations reverted to their original state after Anankos is vanquished and the magic vanished, there's now the struggle of Ophelia/Soleil/Other Child not at all resembling one of their parents anymore. Or anyone on that side of the family :(
