Made for my Kinboard Challenge!

This is my biggest ID and the first kin I ever confirmed. I still have about six unique angry rants about the mistreatment of mages and the bullshit of the Chantry and they all get at least a sentence or two longer every time I rattle them off. Sadly I’m very rarely completely satisfied with an Anders aesthetic, and this is not really an exception, but it’s not bad.

CANON SCHOLARS?? Oh, this game was MADE for me.

I was educated, at various points across my soul's journey, in the Circle of Magi (as Anders) and in the Psi Corps (as Lyta Alexander.)

If you know anything about Dragon Age, Babylon 5, or what ended up happening with either of the characters I was in those worlds, you can deduce why I wiped out academically in fucking high school in this one.

Recently awakened as Anders from Dragon Age 2 and wow, if I never have to see myself getting shipped with Fenris again it'll be too soon. I'm pretty sure Hawke was the only thing keeping that guy from lyrium ghosting into my room and killing me in my sleep lol. I mean I get the whole "they're both traumatized in the same way and both fighting for freedom" thing but also every single time I tried to extend any kind of olive branch he slapped it away because in his eyes I was exactly the same as the people who hurt him.

Thinking about my battle cat Ser Pounce-a-lot… Truly and honestly I think one of the worst things to happen to me was being forbidden to have him. I know that’s probably a wild thing to say considering well… everything. But Ser Pounce was truly what saved me after my escape from the Circle. He gave me a purpose and a reason long before the Wardens or the Mage Underground.

People like to clown on my canonical obsession with cats, but Pounce saved my life. He was everything to me. My fluffy orange tabby little guard felis.

I have a fluffy orange tabby in this life named after him, and the similarities between them literally cause little jolts in my heart sometimes.

It’s like my companion back with me again.
