Chassidic Medley: Adir Hu / Moshe Emes, Andy Statman (Clarinet) & David Grisman (Mandelin) From their Songs of Our Fathers album.
Flatbush Waltz, David Grisman (Mandolin) with the Andy Statman Trio Performed live at Yoshi's, in San Francisco, March 2009. For more great Grisman and/or Statman videos, please search this blog for "David Grisman" or "Andy Statman." Also, I have a lot of other interesting Jewish Folk music, found by searching this blog for topics such as "Klezmer," "Jewish Music," or "Jewish Folk Music". I also have a couple of really nice videos of Grisman performing duets with Jerry Garcia and John Sebastian (respectively).
Although not bluegrass by any stretch, I guess you'd call this one - in the family. Russ Barenberg - Behind The Melodies recorded in 1983.
Here is a big shocker - Bluegrass fans like fast music, fast picking mandolins, fast playing fiddles, flat picking guitarists and especially banjo pickers.
I'm going to reveal more of myself here. This music just lays there for me, no excitement what so ever. This guy is supposed to be one heck of a guitar player The first thing Wikipedia says about him is that he is a fan of Clarence White. (This album has zip of that style flat picking).
For years I've been a critic of the Grateful Dead(no fast music there either) zip excitement. Music for stoners.
