YESSSSS YOU DID IT. I bet you are one of the few individuals who can make a good post about the word Taquito <3 Also yeah, I changed my url because I love Tim…and tacos
Tim and Tacos can indeed be two great things that would go great together. I now imagine that when Tam tattles to the Titans about Tim's refusal to taste tacos, they totally take away his salads, tastefully toting them to where he can't find them. And then tantalize him with tacos. (Say that 5x fast.)
Omg "Taquito" please do it with the word taquito ;A;
The only taquito I have ever known were these little microwavable snacks. They were little meat tortillas, tightly wrapped, with tomato sauce and queso and they were so processed, you could taste it as surely as the beef itself.
I loved them.
Then ate too many of them.
Way too many of them.
And then I hated them.
And now, I find myself nostalgic for the childhood memory. I'd eat one today if it were in front of me. But probably limit myself to just one.
Or two.
Or three.
No more than three.
The word, however, "Taquito"... hmm. "ito" always sounds like the small-end of things, therefore makes it sound like "little taq" to me. I guess I was supposed to draw the conclusion "little taco" but instead, it made me think of a small tack.
Because I went sailing today and to "tack" in sailing is to make a small turn that will change the direction of your sail.
...
Which is irrelevant, but there ya go.

This is exactly how DC makes me feel about Kory. She comes only as “Dick’s ex” and her entire story tends to move around Dick. I mean sure, Dick is awesome but Kory is so much more than that. RHaTO dsoesn’t exist to me yet so I can’t have an opinion.
Unless something changes in a big way, RHaTO is never going to exist for me. I don't know what character Lobdell thinks he's writing, but it's definitely not the Kory that I know and love. I'm just in total denial about the whole thing (which is true for the large majority of the reboot, actually...)
aeedee replied to your post:
I actually feel the same way about Kory. I haven’t read her interacting with another character (apart from Dick, in their prime) and thought I could see genuine sparks flying. It’s a shame, because she’s amazing in a loving relationship. :’c
adioslola replied to your post:
I think a lot of it has to do with DC not giving us/Kory any other feasible options as far as shipping goes.
andysar replied to your post:
Sometimes I feel DC refuses to let Kory move on. I find that unfair.
I absolutely agree with all of you. I do think Kory's never really "clicked" with another character since her relationship with Dick, but I tend to think, like Andy and adioslola say, that it's because DC hasn't really tried.
Fyeahforgottencomiccharacters actually wrote a post the other day (in response to one of mine) which mentioned, among other things, a character named General Phy'zzon who Kory apparently almost married and had a baby with, and what was striking to me is that I had pretty much never heard of this dude, beyond a vague "Hmm, that name should be ringing a bell, right?" kind of familiarity. And while I'm hardly a Kory expert, I think I'm pretty familiar with her history. But she's never had a love interest other than Dick who was anything but a footnote in that history. And that is just vastly unfair, considering what a huge capacity for love Kory has.
Whether you like Dick's subsequent relationships or not, DC allowed him to move on (I tend to think Kory's importance to him was actually glossed over too much by certain writers, but that's another matter). If you ask people to name Dick Grayson's love interests, they'll probably be able to rattle off an entire list (many of whom he probably won't actually have been involved with, but, uh, that's also another matter...) If you ask them Kory's, they'll probably only know Dick. There's a big double-standard in how that relationship has been treated, and it's intensely unfair to Kory. If they're not going to be together, then let Kory move on and be with someone who can love her the way she deserves to be loved. Don't just keep her pining after a character you have absolutely no intention of letting her be happy with. She deserves a heck of a lot better than that.
What bugs me the most is that Red Hood and the Outlaws so clearly was trying to do that, but Lobdell apparently thought the only way he could accomplish that was by giving her amnesia and a completely different attitude to love. Which I find a pretty infuriating message, honestly. So as long as Kory remembers that she loved Dick and how important he was to her, she can never really move on? WTH is that?! That's not how moving on works, or else everyone would have to do an Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind every time they broke up with someone. Why can't Kory still be an intensely loving person, and remember that she loved Dick, but be able to move forward and love someone again? Isn't that a much healthier attitude than taking away her memories and changing her essential nature in order to let her "move on"?

I can’t explain why, but Babs being older than Dick always brings a little something else to their dynamics. I love it.
IKR? I completely agree.
