An art trading game
Arcane. Just. Wow. o.O
Ok, nobody kill me for watching the series this late. I just now finished watching Arcane. Had already loved the art (and fanart I found here), but hadn't watched the series yet. Now I nearly binged it, and oh my frigging stars how good it was! The art, the story, the characters! It wasn't smoothened out. It was gritty, had its fair share of violence, but without making it meaningless.
And the female characters! Gah! Some of the best I've seen, and for once (yes, not only here, but still refreshingly so) there was no difference between how different characters were depicted. It didn't matter. Female characters didn't need to be "pretty", they were allowed to be muscular, strong, scarred, ruthless, obscene, raunchy, dominative... And I loved it. I totally loved it. *Fan girl moment* Sevika. Ambessa. Grayson. All so cool characters! (To mention a few I fell in love with)
And, for once I found comparisons to my own OC, which was somehow ...fullfilling. My OC is something I love, but mostly the type is a niché amongst female characters (no, I'm not saying an only one, but rarer). There were things from all three Arcane characters above that I could relate my OC.
I don't remember when I have been last time this hyped about anything besides SW related series...
I’m going to watch Hawkeye for the plot.
The plot:
Apparently TMA actually did end in 2020, and Jon and Martin are more than likely dead--which I already knew, spoilers are hard to avoid on the Internet, but I was hoping maybe they’d made a final-final episode that confirmed otherwise.
I love TMA, it’s still really good, but I don’t think I want to continue my relisten of it. I’m just, y’know, tired of dead gays. It makes sense in such a bleak show, but it’s kind of destroyed any interest I had. ;;
