I ask questions 1 and 4 off of "shit to ask ppl who write."
Hiii! It is 1pm and I just woke up :D
1.) do you know how you want the story to end when you start or are you just stumbling through the figurative wilderness hoping to find a road?
For my drabbles I know nothing other than what prompted them, that one is just stumbling through!
However when it comes to the actual official story/chapters of what I write I have a whole side document detailing all of the plot n ideas from start to end! :D My document for New Horizons plot is roughly 8k long? Meanwhile my document for my other fic is 17k long (I fear how much I planned for that one...)
4.) what are some of examples of storytelling that inspires you outside of books?
So where I grew up (you know where I'm at Echo) in school they would invite First Nations Elders to come in and tell us stories. We were told of tricksters, of Windegos, stories of how the Sun got in the sky, of why we have the wind. So much, and all of those inspired me so much. I think of them fondly, I would love to listen to more stories like that honestly... Especially told by our Elders. They have a way of speaking and telling it that just... Is different than anyone else.
Several of my OC's and Stories are inspired by these stories that the Elders told us. I will forever look back upon these memories fondly <3
