—You suffer from anemia yet your boyfriends as supportive as ever, just in his own way
დ .•*”Summary: You suffer from anemia but you don’t let it stop you from becoming a hero, yet, your boyfriend’s a stubborn mess and forced you to rest.
༺ღ༒Pairing: Bakugou Katsuki x GN!Anemic!Reader
☆࿐ཽ༵Tags: High school; Relationship; UA; GN!Reader
‧͙⁺˚*・A/N: Someone requested this but it was anonymous and my tumblr was bugging lately! It just got deleted but I still had lots of fun writing this and I hope you’ll have just as much fun reading this! And I didn’t know if they meant headcanons or Scenario so I just did both!
Headcanons: Katsuki Bakugou x GN!Anemic!Reader
1. Worry Masked by Irritation: Bakugou would constantly mask his concern for your condition by pretending to be annoyed. He’d grumble about you being “too weak” but would secretly go above and beyond to ensure you’re healthy.
2. Diet Control Freak: He’d take control of your meals, researching iron-rich foods and sneaking them into your diet. If you tried to resist, he’d shove a plate at you with a snarky remark like, “Eat this before I lose it.”
3. Hyper Awareness: Bakugou would become hyper-aware of your signs of fatigue or dizziness. If you so much as swayed while standing, he’d immediately drag you to sit down.
4. Loud Protector: If anyone dared to tease or question you about your condition, he’d explode (figuratively and maybe literally). “You got something to say?! Say it to me!”
5. Gentle in Private: Though Bakugou is explosive in public, in private, he’d show softer affection. He’d tuck blankets around you, carry you to bed if you overexerted yourself, and grumble softly, “Don’t push yourself, idiot.”
6. Hates Seeing You Weak: Seeing you too tired to get up genuinely unnerves him. He’d pace, bark orders, and eventually sit by your side, silently holding your hand.
7. Acts of Service: Bakugou would do small things like fetching water, helping you stand, or taking on your chores. Of course, he’d act like it’s no big deal. “You’re lucky I’m not a total asshole, huh?”
8. Research Master: He’d secretly learn about anemia from every available resource and even consult Recovery Girl or doctors. He wouldn’t tell you about it, though; he’d just start doing things that showed he knew what he was talking about.
9. Training Adjustment: He’d modify training sessions for you, subtly encouraging you to take breaks without making you feel weak. He might even offer to spar lightly to “keep you on your toes.”
10. Blunt Reassurance: If you ever felt self-conscious about your condition, Bakugou would bluntly shut you down. “You’re not weak. You’re mine, and that’s all that matters.”
Rest is for the Weak (But Not for You)
The morning started like any other. The dorms buzzed with activity as Class 1-A prepared for the day ahead. You had been one of the first to wake, though not because you were particularly eager. A familiar heaviness sat on your chest, and your limbs felt as though they were weighed down by lead.
It was nothing new. This was your normal.
“Y/N, you doing okay?” Mina’s cheerful voice rang out as she caught sight of you rubbing your temples. “You look kinda pale.”
You gave her a small smile, brushing it off. “I’m fine. Just a bit tired.”
“You sure? I can grab you something from the cafeteria real quick if you need it!”
“Thanks, Mina, but I’m good,” you said firmly, not wanting to draw any more attention to yourself.
She hesitated but eventually nodded, skipping off to join the others. As you gathered your things and headed toward the training grounds, you could feel the weight of someone’s gaze on you.
Turning your head, you locked eyes with Bakugou.
He didn’t say anything, but his narrowed eyes and furrowed brow made it clear he’d heard the exchange. You pretended not to notice and hurried to catch up with the others, hoping he wouldn’t press the issue.

The training session was supposed to be routine—a series of combat drills designed to test reflexes and stamina. You had been paired with Midoriya for a sparring match, something that usually wouldn’t faze you.
But today, every movement felt sluggish. Your punches lacked their usual strength, and your dodges were just a fraction too slow. Midoriya, ever the observant one, noticed almost immediately.
“Y/N, are you sure you’re feeling okay?” he asked, concern etched into his face as he blocked one of your weak punches.
“I’m fine,” you insisted, dodging to the side as he retaliated.
But the dizziness was getting worse. Your vision blurred at the edges, and the sound of your own heartbeat roared in your ears.
“Y/N—”
“Stop holding back!” you snapped, cutting him off.
Midoriya flinched but complied, though his hits were clearly pulled. You hated it—hated the pity in his eyes, the way he seemed afraid to fight you properly. You wanted to prove you could keep up, that you weren’t a liability.
And then your knees buckled.

“Oi! What the hell are you doing, Deku?!”
Bakugou’s voice rang out across the gym, loud enough to make everyone pause. You barely registered the sound of his boots stomping across the floor before he was standing between you and Midoriya, his crimson eyes blazing.
“I-It wasn’t his fault—” you started, but Bakugou cut you off with a sharp glare.
“Shut it, dumbass,” he growled before turning back to Midoriya. “What the hell were you thinking, letting them push themselves like that?”
Midoriya opened his mouth to respond but quickly decided against it, his expression shifting to one of resignation.
“And you,” Bakugou snarled, rounding on you. “What the hell were you thinking? You could’ve hurt yourself!”
“I’m fine!” you snapped, trying to push past him.
But Bakugou wasn’t having it. He grabbed your arm—not hard enough to hurt, but firm enough to stop you in your tracks.
“You’re not fine,” he said through gritted teeth. “You’re done. Sit down before you pass out.”

Bakugou practically dragged you to the edge of the gym, ignoring your protests as he deposited you on a bench. The other students watched from a distance, their whispered conversations filling the air.
“Bakugou, you’re overreacting,” you muttered, crossing your arms as he crouched in front of you.
“Overreacting, my ass,” he shot back, his tone sharp. “You’re pale as shit, and you can’t even stand up straight. Don’t lie to me, Y/N.”
You glared at him, but the dizziness made it hard to keep your head up. Bakugou noticed immediately and let out an irritated sigh.
“Tch. Stay here,” he ordered before stomping off.
When he returned a few minutes later, he was carrying a water bottle and a protein bar. He shoved them at you without a word, his scowl deepening when you hesitated.
“Eat. Drink. Now,” he barked.
“Bakugou, I don’t need—”
“Don’t argue with me, dumbass!” he snapped, his voice louder than necessary. “Just do it!”
You flinched but complied, taking small sips of water and nibbling on the protein bar.

When the session ended, Bakugou didn’t give you a choice about walking back to the dorms together. He hovered close, his sharp eyes scanning you for any signs of weakness.
“You didn’t have to walk me back,” you muttered, feeling a mix of gratitude and embarrassment.
“Shut up. You’re lucky I didn’t carry your ass,” he shot back.
The two of you walked in silence for a while, the tension between you thick enough to cut with a knife. But as you reached the dorms, Bakugou’s voice softened.
“You need to take care of yourself, Y/N,” he said, his tone uncharacteristically gentle.
You glanced at him, surprised by the shift in his demeanor. “I do take care of myself.”
“Bullshit,” he muttered. “If you did, I wouldn’t have to babysit you all the damn time.”
You opened your mouth to argue, but the exhaustion caught up with you, and you leaned against the wall for support.
Bakugou was at your side in an instant, his hand on your arm as he steadied you.
“See? This is exactly what I’m talking about,” he grumbled. “You’re too damn stubborn for your own good.”

Once inside your room, Bakugou made himself at home, pulling a chair up beside your bed as you sat down.
“You’re not staying,” you said, giving him a tired look.
“Like hell I’m not,” he retorted, crossing his arms. “Someone’s gotta make sure you don’t do something stupid.”
You sighed, leaning back against the pillows. “You’re impossible.”
“And you’re an idiot,” he shot back, though there was no real heat behind his words.
The two of you sat in silence for a while, the tension gradually fading as the weight of the day settled over you. Bakugou’s presence, as much as you hated to admit it, was comforting.

The silence in your dorm room was a strange thing. Bakugou wasn’t one to enjoy stillness, yet here he was, sitting in your chair like he belonged there, arms crossed as he glared at the wall. The occasional sound of his foot tapping against the floor was the only thing breaking the quiet.
“I don’t need a babysitter,” you said finally, unable to take the tension anymore.
“Too bad,” he replied curtly.
You sighed, running a hand through your hair. “You’re seriously overreacting. I just got a little dizzy.”
He turned his sharp gaze on you, the intensity in his crimson eyes making you freeze. “A little dizzy? You couldn’t even finish training without almost eating shit in front of everyone.”
“Thanks for the reminder,” you muttered, looking away.
“I’m not saying it to piss you off, dumbass,” he snapped, leaning forward slightly. “I’m saying it because you’re being reckless.”
You stared at him, surprised by the raw frustration in his voice. Katsuki Bakugou was never one to sugarcoat his words, but there was something different about the way he spoke to you now—like he was genuinely afraid for you.
“I just don’t want to hold anyone back,” you admitted quietly, your voice barely above a whisper.
Bakugou’s expression softened for a moment, though his scowl quickly returned. “You’re not holding anyone back,” he said firmly. “You think I give a crap if you can’t keep up sometimes? You’re not weak, Y/N.”
The words caught you off guard. You’d always thought Bakugou saw weakness as unforgivable, that he’d look down on anyone who couldn’t match his relentless energy. Hearing him say otherwise left you speechless.
“Tch. Don’t look at me like that,” he grumbled, his cheeks tinged with the faintest hint of pink. “I’m just telling the truth. Now shut up and rest.”

Despite Bakugou’s insistence that you stay in bed, word of your condition had spread among your classmates, and it wasn’t long before a few of them came knocking.
“Y/N! Are you okay?” Mina burst into the room, her usual enthusiasm dampened by concern. She carried a small bag of snacks, which she set on your bedside table with a flourish.
“I’m fine, really,” you said, offering her a reassuring smile.
“Yeah, they’re fine,” Bakugou interjected from his seat, his voice dripping with irritation. “Now get out.”
“Bakugou, be nice!” Kirishima appeared behind Mina, giving his friend a pointed look before turning to you. “We just wanted to check on you, Y/N. You scared us a little back there.”
“I didn’t mean to,” you said, guilt creeping into your tone. “I just… overdid it.”
“You think?” Bakugou muttered under his breath.
Kirishima chuckled awkwardly, scratching the back of his neck. “Well, we’re glad you’re okay. Just take it easy, all right? And don’t let Bakugou boss you around too much.”
“Too late for that,” you joked, earning a glare from Bakugou.
After a few more minutes of chatting, Mina and Kirishima finally left, though not without a promise to check in on you again later. As soon as the door closed, Bakugou let out an irritated huff.
“They don’t know when to leave,” he grumbled.
“They’re just worried,” you said, leaning back against the pillows. “You don’t have to be so rude.”
“Yeah, well, I don’t need a damn audience while I’m trying to take care of you,” he shot back.
You raised an eyebrow. “Trying to take care of me? Is that what this is?”
“Shut up,” he muttered, his cheeks flushing again.

That night, long after Bakugou had begrudgingly left your room, you lay awake, staring at the ceiling. His words from earlier echoed in your mind.
“You’re not weak, Y/N.”
It was such a simple statement, yet it meant more to you than you could explain. For as long as you could remember, you’d been battling the fear that your anemia made you a burden. You hated the idea of being someone others had to take care of.
But Bakugou didn’t see you that way.
You weren’t sure when he’d started paying such close attention to you, but his protectiveness was undeniable. It was infuriating at times, but it also warmed your heart in a way you couldn’t ignore.

When you woke the next morning, the first thing you noticed was the smell of food.
Groggily sitting up, you saw Bakugou standing by your desk, a tray of breakfast in his hands.
“What are you doing?” you asked, your voice still heavy with sleep.
“What’s it look like?” he replied, setting the tray down on your lap. “You’re eating before training today.”
You blinked at him, surprised. “You made this?”
“Don’t sound so shocked,” he grumbled, crossing his arms. “It’s just eggs and toast. Not like I cooked a five-star meal.”
You couldn’t help but smile as you picked up your fork. “Thanks, Bakugou.”
“Yeah, yeah,” he muttered, looking away. “Just don’t make me regret it.”
As you ate, you noticed how he lingered by the door, his usual impatience replaced by something softer.
“Are you gonna watch me the whole time?” you teased.
“Maybe,” he shot back.

Over the next few weeks, Bakugou’s concern for you became an undeniable part of your routine. He started carrying snacks and water bottles with him during training, shoving them at you whenever he thought you looked tired. He adjusted his own training schedule to keep an eye on you, even if it meant sparring with someone else so he could watch from a distance.
And while he never outright said it, his actions spoke volumes.
One day, after a particularly exhausting training session, you found yourself sitting on the edge of the gym, your legs dangling over the side as you tried to catch your breath. Bakugou appeared beside you, handing you a cold water bottle without a word.
“Thanks,” you said, unscrewing the cap and taking a sip.
“Tch. Don’t mention it,” he muttered, sitting down next to you.
The two of you sat in silence for a while, the sounds of the gym fading into the background. It was moments like this that reminded you just how much Bakugou cared, even if he’d never admit it.
“You’re not weak, you know,” he said suddenly, his voice softer than usual.
You turned to look at him, surprised by the sincerity in his tone.
“Thanks, Katsuki,” you said quietly, using his first name for the first time in weeks.
He didn’t say anything, but the faint smile that tugged at his lips was enough.
Envy and Pride with an severely anemic reader? (Hope your having a wonderful day <3)
For sure! Thank you for the ask <3
Thank you so much for waiting!
Envy: If you're ever too tired or weak to walk while they're both out somewhere, be prepared, because he WILL carry you around. He says that you deserve it as his princess, prince, or whatever you'd like for him to call you. He dislikes how cold you often are because it worries him, so he would carry around things that would help you warm up your hands! Mostly these warming pads. If you ever need help paying for your medications, he will pay for it happily. Honestly, if you ever need help paying for anything, tell him, and he'll totally get it for you! Anyway, he understands how sucky it is to have a sickness that you can't control, so he wants to do everything in his power to make you feel better—at least a little bit. It's annoying sometimes because he made it so everyone will remind you to take your medications... I bet sometimes you would need the reminder, though lol.
Pride: He might not be able to help as much as Envy can, but he would still help you out whenever you guys are out and about and you suddenly can’t walk too much. If you want a piggyback ride, he would give it to you! He would love to do it; as a matter of fact… he likes carrying you around <3. He would often remind you to take your medications, even if you did take them, mostly because, since he doesn’t have blood, he doesn’t really understand what it means to be anemic… he just worries about you! All in all, he does whatever you ask him to do about it and will do it very happily because all he wants is for you to be happy and healthy.
Summary: You didn’t believe in destiny if it was so, your feelings wouldn’t matter. You had to make a decision, the man destiny chose for you or the man that made your heart beat.
Notes: My first request from lovely Hana. ❤️😊 I tried my hardest to make this one shot a story worth your time. To Hana, I hope you enjoy my love.
Once you opened your eyes all you saw was a bright white ceiling. You heard a beeping sound in your right ear. You knew exactly where you were, it wasn’t really new for you to be here.
You turned your body to your right side. Once you saw your mother nodding off on the chair by the bed, you knew that you passed out again. You’ve had anemia since you were seven years old.
It developed around the time your parents decided to take time off their relationship. Your parents were the definition of soul mates, they loved each other for a long time, way before you were born. Yet, unfortunately, it began falling apart when your father got a job opportunity of his life across the country and your mother wanted to stay near her family.
Their so-called romantic relationship deteriorated quickly as they started to fight everyday. Their arguments got out of hand, their neighbors ended up calling the police once.
Your father ended up leaving your mother to follow his dreams in becoming successful. Your mother decided to get a job and live her life without a man. She became a travel agent just so she could work from home to keep an eye on your health condition.
Your mother really cares for you, maybe a little too much. She didn’t let you go to school because of her worries. You never had friends and the only relationship you saw was your parents.
You could admit that you were really lonely. You hated it in your teen years but you slowly got over the pain of not having anyone. You could say that not having anyone saved you from being disappointed.
“Mom. Wake up.” You said as you slowly got up feeling the blood rush down to your feet.
She jolted up with her eyes wide at you. “Are you feeling better?” She helped you hop off the bed.
“We can go home, it’s pretty much the same routine.” You sighed feeling tired, you weren’t sure that it was the anemia or your mother’s first instinct to take you to the hospital every time you passed out.
As she helped you put on your jacket you smiled at her. “Mom, please do me this favor. Just don’t take me to the hospital every time this happens.” She frowned at me. “What if it becomes really dangerous?”
“Nothing really happens, I would wake up and then we’d head home. Besides, the staff of this emergency room memorised my name and it’s purely embarrassing.” You pulled your bag strap closer to your chest.
She followed your figure as you headed out of the emergency room. “Fine, I’ll try not to.” She smiled.
It was never that you didn’t like your mother or hated her ways, it was the other way around. How could’ve you hated her? She gave her social and love life up to raise you in the safest environment available to you. It was just the coddling that got on your nerves.
You stared out of the window as the car stopped at a red light. You saw a group of high school students in their uniforms laughing together. You never really envied such a sight but you did regret not trying to have some of it.
Silence took over the car as you leaned back into your seat after turning down the radio. Your mother knew that meant you were thinking really hard to make a decision. It’s your thing to have complete silence as you contemplate your next words/actions.
“I am going to move out.” You could’ve swore you would hear a pin drop. “What?” Her face became unreadable. “Why?” She parked her car in the parking lot in front of the town’s park.
You turned off the heater in the car. “I need to go to college. I have to live either in the dorm or an apartment near the campus.” You no longer wanted to look at her face.
“Why move out? We can move near the campus together.” She tried to negotiate. “No. Mom, I need a life of my own. Without you to take care of me. It’s just that you’ve been there everyday and I didn’t really do anything anyone my age would’ve done with their lives.” You started tapping against your knees.
“What about your condition? Who’s going to take you to the hospital if you need it? And, what about money?” She started to fuss.
At that moment you started losing focus on her moment of twenty questions as you saw a man pass by the car heading towards the park.
He appeared of high intellectuality, he wore a black turtleneck, a camel tone, long coat, blue jeans and thin rimmed glasses. His hair was an ash brown shade. He held a book in his hand and his phone in the other.
Time slowed down, your hands got colder as you felt a chill rush down your spine. He looked unlike anyone you’ve ever seen in your life. His eyes would smile if he were to. He had a feel to him and the only word to describe it was gentle.
When he reached to grab his headphones out his pocket something shiny fell out. You struggled to unbuckle your seatbelt and unlock the door. Once you were out of the car you rushed towards the tiny object.
A silver ring with some random letters engraved on its outside. It seemed really old. Once you lifted your head up looking for the guy you'd realized that he was too far away from you. You wanted to follow him but you knew with your condition you’d get dizzy.
You placed the ring in your pocket thinking that you could just give to him if you ever see him again. “What do you think you’re doing?” You felt your mother’s tug on your arm.
“Sorry, I thought he dropped something important. It’s just a coin.” You pulled out a fifty cent coin out of your pocket.
-
After speaking with your mother for hours she came to the conclusion that you were not going to change your mind no matter what she said and that was the end of that.
As for tuition and expenses, you have collected allowances, christmas and birthday money all your life without having the need to use them. You told your mother that you’d work in addition to using your savings.
As you packed your stuff in boxes you remembered the ring that you found on the ground. The thought of losing it made you uneasy. You grabbed a small kit of leather thin strips your grandmother had bought you for christmas. You attached the ring to a brown strip and tied around your neck.
After you packed your clothes in categories you decided that you’d take the rest of the night to sleep. You didn’t want to pass out in front of your mother the night before the move.
-
The final decision was that you moved to an apartment so your mother could visit you when she wanted to. Even though you moved four hours away from your old home.
As you arrived at your new one-room apartment, you inhaled and coughed not expecting it to be that dusty. You placed the boxes by the entrance and began cleaning the place from top to bottom.
You got a call amidst of you wiping the sink in the only bathroom in your new home. It was the delivery guy from the furniture store. He placed the couch and boxes in the living room and left.
You thought they’d help you organize but you were wrong because as soon as they realized that you were about to ask they rushed out of the apartment.
A phone call wouldn’t hurt, right? You could call your mom and ask for help, you thought. No, you knew that she’d tell you that she’d move in with you to make sure that you were alright.
After having a glass of water to refresh you started to feel dizzy. You grabbed the first thing you could to keep yourself standing.
What you didn’t realize was that it was the plate box. You ended knocking it down next to your figure as you slowly slid down, the shattering sound startled you.
You close your eyes for a few minutes and they open at the sound of knocking. You lifted yourself to your feet. You rummaged around your bag for the bottle of iron supplements. Swallowing one with a gulp of water you head to the door with the glass in your hand.
You had forgotten to look through the peephole, you opened the door unhurriedly. The man that stood before you was out of this world. He had black tousled hair and brown bambi eyes. He wore a black hoodie and matching sweatpants. He was almost a prince despite his disheveled appearance.
The nameless man stood in front of you with worry laced on his face. “I heard a crash. Are you okay?” He mumbled as his cheeks became red. “Um. Sorry about that. Must’ve startled you. I just dropped my plates.” You tried to keep your tone as lively as you could.
“You just moved here, right? Oh, I am Jeon Jungkook by the way.” He extended his hand after wiping it against his hoodie. “I am Y/N L/N.” You took his hand. It was unexpectedly soft as it was larger than your hand.
“I could help you clean up if you want to.” He smiled, his eyes became of the crescent moon which caused you to snort. “Sure. I didn’t mean anything by that laugh.” You shook your head as you led him towards the living room.
-
Once Jungkook began assembling the wooden furniture you decided that organizing the kitchenware would be the best thing for you to do.
You poured a glass of water from the tap and moved to the living room to see this man lifting your bookcase to place it next to your couch set.
He had his sleeves by his elbows, his veins were like water hoses against his arms. Some of his hair started to stick to his head due to the sweat.
Your feet move forward as you push the glass of water in front of his distracted face, almost surprising him. He took it with a slight chuckle after he appeared to have gained a realization about you.
“What?” You pulled your hair into a ponytail watching him chug down the water. “Nothing.” He handed you the empty glass. You raised your hand towards his face and wiped the sweat from his forehead with your bare hands.
Jungkook stared at you with his brows furrowed, then he began laughing lightheartedly. “This confirms it.” He unhurriedly pulled your hand down. “You kinda don’t have any social cues.” His touch lingered within your palm.
“Sorry, I was home-schooled. I didn’t really hang around people.” Your gaze drifted to the side. Once you began feeling your hands becoming colder you pulled them away and you moved behind him and placed them on his back.
He was startled and as he was going to turn around you pushed him towards the door of your apartment. “Uh, what’s going on? I am sorry if I offended you.” He stopped by the door. “No, none of that. It’s just.. I need to sleep so you can come back tomorrow to help me assemble the rest.” You said as you closed the door.
You dragged your feet to the couch and laid your back against the soft cushion. Your back finally felt the relief it needed. Dizziness got replaced with sleepiness and you just drifted into the clouds of your dreams.
-
The sound of the alarm knocks you out of the couch. The time was seven am, you sigh and drag your feet towards the bathroom to get ready. After taking an iron supplement and eating your breakfast, you wore a pair of black jeans and a pastel pink shirt with a white zipped hoodie.
Grabbing your keys and backpack you head out of your apartment to bump into Jungkook. He wasn’t that differently dressed, he wore light blue jeans instead of sweatpants and combat boots instead of adidas slippers. It surprised you how two items of clothing made him appear even more attractive than when you first met him.
“Good morning.” he grumbled as he slowed his pace to match yours. “You don’t really seem like you're having a good one.” You replied as you handed him your coffee flask. “You can have some if you want.” He looked at you with the same dumbfounded expression from yesterday.
“I don’t drink coffee. Can I ask you a favor?” He pressed against the elevator button. “Sure.” I looked at him curiously. “Don’t ever do that with anyone else. Don’t share your stuff with anyone and don’t touch people’s faces and hands.” He pulled your hood towards your eyes playfully.
“Oh, I am only doing this for you because you helped me with my furniture, fool. I don’t do this to people I don’t know.” You walked past him into the elevator. “Wow. I am shocked.” He pressed the ground floor button.
He suddenly moved towards you. His tall figure leaned towards your body. “What are you doing?” You asked looking into his eyes. “People crowd the elevator on this floor.” As a crowd got on the elevator his body was pressed against yours.
Jungkook’s breath warmed your ears. His arms were at both sides of your head. You felt your heart hammering against your chest. “Are you okay?” He smiled at your peach tinted cheeks. “Yeah, but why is it so busy at this time?” You whispered.
“We all go to the same university.” He blew his bangs out of his face as he began sweating. Your fingertips removed the strands of his hair out of his eyes gently. “You need a haircut.” You grinned.
-
As you walked you noticed that he was by your side the whole time. There was no way. Actually you did go to the same university. He was so social it was surprising. Guys were talking to him and girls were swooning over him.
Your grip on your backpack strap tightened as they asked about you. Once it happened the second time took the decision to run as fast as you could leaving him dumbfounded once more.
As you glanced behind to see if Jungkook followed, you bump into a sturdy body. The unnamed body wasn’t fazed but you were about to fall on your ass. A hand caught yours and you were startled to see him.
You never thought that you’d see this man ever again. Your ring guy. The beautiful man of the park near your home. “Are you okay?” His hand dropped from yours.
Once you heard Jungkook’s voice your hand gripped the back of his coat as you moved behind him. “Oh, Namjoon. Have you seen Y/N? She’s petite, large eyes. Um, she’s wearing a pink shirt and a white hoodie.” He further described your appearance.
The man named Namjoon points behind his back. “I can’t believe that you’d rat me out that fast.” You smacked the back of his head startling him and gaining a chortle from Jungkook.
“What the fuck just happened?” Namjoon stared at me in disbelief. “Don’t you dare follow me Jeon Jungkook.” You moved with a frown splayed across your face.
-
You decided to take your lunch outside by a tree. You didn’t want to see any of those guys in public. Everyone just seemed to be in love with them and the attention was not something you wanted.
“Hello.” A man stood before you with pink hair. “Hi.” You sighed. He was handsome too, you felt that there will be this never ending cycle of attractive men speaking to you. “I am Park Jimin.” He beamed as he sat next to you.
“I heard you ran away from Jeon Jungkook and knocked Kim Namjoon on the back of his head.” He handed you a box of juice as he giggled. “Ugh. People’s mouths move faster than their speed in hallways.” You groan.
He patted your shoulder in comfort. “So it wasn’t just a rumor.” You looked at his hand, he removed it probably thinking you were not into his touch. “Why do people care? It’s not like their special.” You messed up your hair.
“That’s where you’re wrong. They are special and that is exactly why people care.” He explained as he took a bite of his own sandwich. “What does that even mean? We aren’t in a chick-flick right now.” You grumbled as you took a bite of your PB&J sandwich.
“Kim Namjoon. Full scholarship. His grades are atop of the whole university. IQ of 145. Finally double majors in Literature and Engineering.” He explained. “And there is Jeon Jungkook. Also full scholarship. Got in on a soccer scholarship and he’s riding it to study film production.” He continued.
“What about you mysterious Y/N? What are you majoring in?” He smiled as he took a sip from his juice box.
“Photography.” You muttered as you started feeling dizzy. “Jimin. I am going to take a nap.” You gave him the box of juice before your hand dropped on his lap.
Once you opened your eyes you could smell a scent that was familiar to you. It wasn’t Jimin, he smelt softer. You looked up and Namjoon gazed across your face as his eyes lifted from his book.
Lifting your head from his shoulder. He smiled at you. “I thought you’d hate me.” You muttered rubbing against your eyes. “I am not that quick at judging people.” His voice was deep yet gentle.
“Jimin had a class, so he asked Jungkook to look after you but he also has a class. So, I agreed to do so.” He moved a strand of your hair away from your face. “Jimin said that you fell asleep and didn’t wake up no matter how much he called your name.” He chuckled.
“I guess I’m a heavy sleeper.” He nodded at your sleepy face. “What are you reading?” You point at his book. “Just rereading Demian.” He said. “Did you know that I am a magician?” He looked at you with interest.
“Really? Show me a magic trick then.” He fixed his posture to watch you. “Not that kind of magic. I can tell small secrets that your brain hides.” You giggled. “Okay. Tell me something about myself.” He winked at you.
“Let’s see. You’ve recently lost something important to you. Maybe a piece of jewelry, you can probably wear it around your hand.” You placed your index finger on your temple. “That’s crazy.” He looked shocked, not necessarily in a good way.
“What’s wrong?” You muttered. “I just could never understand how you would know something like that.” In a passing second eyes became lonely.
You grabbed his hand and touched his right ring finger. “I just guessed. Your finger has a mark left from a ring. You aren’t married, at least not that I know. So it must be important to you and if you're not wearing it, it probably meant you lost it.”
“Even so, you knew exactly what was wrong.” he muttered. “Do you want to talk about it?” You tried to comfort him. “Maybe next time. I’ll see you around.” He left you by the tree and disappeared into the building.
Laying your head against the tree trunk you sigh. People are hard and maybe after not being around them for most of your life you thought you might as well just give up on trying.
-
Days pass and you decided that you won’t talk to anyone. Whether you leave your apartment building earlier or later than you usually would to not speak to Jungkook or learn Namjoon’s route during the day so you could avoid him, it was all hard on you and you weren’t used to dealing with anyone’s problems.
One day as you opened the door of your apartment peeking to see if anyone was around, you got dragged out with your backpack. “Fuck.” Was the only word that came out of your mouth. “Exactly, why the fuck are you avoiding me?” He was really annoyed.
“I am not avoiding you.” You mumbled, fixing the strap of your backpack. Jungkook pushed you back into your apartment and dragged you to the couch by your hand.
Beginning to panic you pull your hand away falling to the couch. “I am not mad at you. I just don’t understand what I did.” He messed up his hair. “You did nothing. You fool.” Your voice became close to non-existent.
“Then what is it? What’s wrong?” He sat on his knees on the floor and his gentle hand planted itself on your knees. “I messed up with Namjoon and I don’t know how to fix it.” Your eyes well up. “That’s it? You avoid me and Namjoon, also ignore Jimin for that?” He was in so much disbelief that he started to giggle.
“You can talk to me. I’ll help you.” His arms gently wrapped around your shoulders. “If you feel like you’re stuck or you need a little push talk to me. I’ll help you.” Your tears were hot against his neck.
-
After talking it with Jungkook he told you to just talk to Namjoon. That you’d figure it out once you do. So he asked Namjoon to meet him at his favourite bookcafe, of course he was lying. You were going to meet him there.
You tried your best to match your attire to Namjoon’s preference according to Jungkook’s knowledge. You let your hair down and wore a natural layer of makeup . Your body was hugged by an elegant, off-shoulder, gray, sweater, middy dress and a pair of camel tone, sandal heels.
You were nervous once you got off the taxi. You’d never dressed this way, you’ve never met a boy in a cafe. It was all new to you.
You peered into the establishment and there he was. A book in hand and headphones in his ears. A look you knew gave you indescribable comfort.
You inhaled and entered the shop as you exhaled. You placed your shoulder bag on the table in front of him and dragged the chair away from the table.
As you sat he coughed his breath getting caught in his throat after he saw you. “We need to talk.” You were so nervous your leg started to shake.
“Um. Okay.” He cleared his throat. “I am sorry. I made you uncomfortable and then disappeared without a word.” You exhaled as you twiddled your thumbs.
“No. It wasn’t you. I just… I don’t know it was something very important to me.” He said. “You can talk to me about it.” You tried once more.
“Yeah, sure. So when I was younger, maybe nine years old, my father got into a really bad accident. He left me that ring and told me that just like the ring found him my mother, it would find me my person.” He sighed.
At that moment, once again, just like the first time you met him, you felt chills run up your back. Your heart began pounding faster than you can probably handle. “If you find the ring what would you do?” Your voice was shaky.
“Honestly, I have know idea. I’d be relieved.” He smiled. You finally got the courage to pull out the necklace from underneath your dress and of your neck. Placing it on the table in front of him.
His eyes were wide and he just stared at you waiting for an explanation. “You were going to a park near my hometown and you dropped as you took out your headphones. It happened way before classes began and just couldn’t catch up to you.” You stared.
You proceed to tell him about how you wanted to give to him by the tree but at his reaction you became reluctant because you thought he’d get mad at you.
You were surprised by the way Namjoons arms enveloped your body. His lips crashed into yours and butterflies erupted in your stomach.
His lips were full, soft and gentle. His hand reached for your jaw as he tongue licked your lips. After a few light pecks he finally pulled away.
Anyone could see how genuinely happy he was. Once you left the cafe, he held your hand. “Has anyone ever told you that your hands are really cold.” He chuckled. “No, I haven’t held that many hands in my lifetime.” You smiled as he kissed the outside of your hand.
The two of you stood by the pedestrian line waiting for the light to go green. Jungkook was across from you. He smiled when he saw your face but when he noticed your hands encased in Namjoon's, his expression became unreadable.
Wanting to meet in the middle you pulled Namjoon. It was so sudden, the feeling of dizziness squeezed you. You tried grabbing onto Namjoon’s arm, but Jungkook caught your falling figure. “I am going to take a nap.” Your eyes close.
-
Once you opened your eyes all you saw was a bright white ceiling. You heard a beeping sound in your right ear. You knew exactly where you were, it wasn’t really new for you to be here.
You turned your body to your right side. Once you saw your Namjoon sitting by Jungkook on the chair by the bed, you knew that it was different this time. Your anemia was supposed to be a secret in college.
You really didn’t want to be coddled. Not by your boyfriend or guyfriend. “Are you okay Y/N?” Jungkook took your hand as soon as his eyes laid against your face. “I am fine. Please don’t act this way. I’m okay.” You looked away.
“The doctor told us that you have anemia. You never really showed any symptoms other than cold hands though.” Namjoon scratched the back of his head.
“I just tried to keep at home and if it were to happen outside I’d pretend to take a nap.” You glanced back at Namjoon. “I want you to know something.” He said.
“We are not going to treat you differently. We just want you to rely on whoever you're with Y/N. Just tell us so we could make sure that you’re in a safe environment.” Jungkook continued.
This was so different from what you were used to. You actually liked it more. They didn’t treat you like you were fragile, they probably knew that you didn’t want that at all.
-
It has been a few months since you and Namjoon started dating. He asked you to keep wearing your ring around your neck, he told you that’s where it belonged.
As for Jungkook, he distanced himself from you physically. He still talks to you the same but he doesn’t mess up your hair like he used, he doesn’t hug you nor does he shield you from elevator crowds anymore.
You decided not to really ask why because from your past experience prying too much wasn’t necessarily a good thing to do.
That day, you were walking around campus with Jimin. He had become your best friend after seeing the way you act when you become drunk out of your mind.
Namjoon sat by the tree where you first really talked to him. A gorgeous girl sat right next to him touching his arms as she laughed at what he was saying. What made it feel unbearable is the fact that he was smiling at her.
“What does she want from him?” Jimin muttered. “You know her?” You looked back at Jimin with a questioning look. “She’s his ex. They broke up three months before you met. She broke up with him because she wanted to go overseas for her big break in modeling.” He sighed.
Thoughts came running through your head. You felt like he was going to break-up with you. Look at her, why would he want you over that? She’s taller, prettier and sexier.
Plus, you’ve never got past kissing Namjoon, whenever you wanted him to go there he’d just pull a ‘I’m tired’ or a ‘I’m not in the mood.’
All you did was run, you felt your self-consciousness began to eat you away so you just went home.
-
You felt really dizzy and it wasn’t just the fact that Namjoon is potentially cheating on you or leaving you, it was your period. Whenever it came it made your life worse. It was like anemia times three.
You hardly left your bed and when Namjoon would call you’d put your phone on silent. It was hard for you to bear the idea so you just didn’t want to hear it.
Needing pads, you remembered that Jungkook said that he’d be with you no matter what, whenever something is going on you decided to pay him a visit.
You rang the bell. A girl in his hoodie opened the door. You were utterly surprised. He was your next door neighbor but you never really thought about how he gets it. “Can I help you?” She flipped her hair to the side.
“Is Jungkook here?” You groaned feeling the pain in your stomach increase alongside the dizziness. “Who is it babe?” You hear his voice. “Just some random chick.” She yelled back.
His head peered from the kitchen and he was shirtless. He stared at your pained face for a moment. He rushed and caught your waivering figure.
You had passed out. Again. Oh, how much you hated your anemia now. You woke up and you were on jungkook’s couch. He was sitting by the TV playing a video game.
When he noticed you stirring he got up. “Here.” He gave you a black plastic bag. “You bleed through your pants.” He cleared his throat.
The embarrassment was too intense for you to handle. You just ran to his bathroom and changed into dollar-store underwear and a fresh new pad. “Do you have any pants?” You peered from the bathroom door.
He threw at you a pair of his sweatpants. Jungkook’s cheeks were as red as yours once you walked out. “I am so stealing your sweatpants.” You said to lighten up the mood. “What about your clothes?” He asked as he handed you a glass of water.
“Well, I placed it in the plastic bag. Make sure to trash it later. It’s irredeemable.” You plopped down on his couch. “So… Since when do you have a girlfriend?” You asked mischievously. “Huh? I don’t have a girlfriend.” He blinked at you.
“Then who was ‘Babe?’ Was that a fragment of my imagination.” Utterly dumbfounded you yelled. “She’s not my girlfriend. We just hooked up. Plus there is another girl that I like anyway.” His attention went back to his video game.
“Instead of sleeping around haven’t you thought of asking her out you fool?” You say. “I can’t do that. She’s taken. Really smitten by her current boyfriend.” He said, his tone becoming lonelier.
“That sucks.” You patted his head. “You know, you're right. I am a fool. I was the reason she started dating him in the first place.” He laid his hand on your head as he stood up.
“Whatever is going on in between you and Namjoon, you have to deal with it before it becomes unhealthy.” He muttered, stroking your hair. “Jungkook, I am thinking of breaking up with him.” You could hear a pin drop.
“What are you talking about?” He stared at you baffled. “I feel like I’m holding him back from his true relationship. I mean, whatever her name is likes him and he obviously likes her back, but he’s just bound to the idea that this stupid ring will find him his soulmate.” You rambled taking the necklace out your hoodie.
“Okay. Let me say this. If I am left single by the age of thirty and the doofus-of-a girl you like never sees your feelings, We should get married.” You left his apartment leaving him too shocked to speak.
-
To your surprise Namjoon stood by your door with a bouquet of flowers. You let him in explaining your period catastrophe is the reason you came out of Jungkook’s apartment.
Namjoon started talking about how his day went, very visibly trying to avoid talking about you ignoring him. He probably heard about it from Jimin, feeling bad he just wouldn’t mention it.
You sigh finally accepting that you guys weren’t meant to be and that was probably okay. “Namjoon, listen.” You pulled the necklace out of your shirt and above your head.
“I don’t think that we should be together. I am saying this because I truly love you.” You placed the ring in his palm. “Aren’t you happy with me?” He frowned.
“Look, I’m not going to give you the ‘it’s not you but it’s me’ sappy shit. I’m thinking that you don’t love me, at least not in a romantic way and that is okay. You probably love that model chick- What the hell is her name?” you interrupted yourself.
You pointed at the ring and smiled. “I don’t want you to feel like you have to love me because of a ring. I know it was a gift from your father, but I don’t think he would’ve liked the fact that you became enslaved to his words.”
You wrap your arms around him with a tight hug. “Thanks Y/N. No offence I thought, I’d have to live a miserable life feeling like shit for liking someone other than the one destined to me.” He sighed into your hair.
“Fuck destiny, that shit doesn’t really exist. There is no such thing as soulmates. Just love who your heart yearns for.” You laughed.
-
Your mother decided to visit you during the winter break for a few days. It was the fact she didn’t want you to travel the long distance.
She had showed up a day before the break began with a carrier bag because you told her that you were doing to let her stay for just four days only.
You freshened up for the last day of the semester. Breakfast was laid on the dinner table. It was something you missed. Your mother’s home-cooked meals to keep you going for the rest of the day.
Thoughts instantly divert Jungkook, and how he isn’t going back home because he can’t afford it. “Mom. Would you mind if I invite my neighbor? He’s not going home this break and I bet he’d kill for a home cooked meal.” She nodded confirming that she made enough for three.
You knocked on his door three times before he opened the door with a tooth-brush in his mouth, shirtless. “Get dressed, you're having breakfast at my place.” You walked back to your apartment.
Once he came inside your home he greeted your mother with a surprised look on his face. “So, is this the boy next door? Is he maybe the reason why you don’t want me to stay here long?” She wiggled her eyebrows at you with a smirk. “No mom. He’s just a friend.” You sighed annoyed.
-
After breakfast you three headout to the elevator, your mother had to buy a few ingredients for dinner and you had to attend your last day.
Jungkook out of old habits turned to face you leaning his arms at both sides of your head. As your mother wanted to question the gesture, a crowd of students entered the elevator crushing her. She probably understood his actions at least.
“It’s been a long time since you’ve done that.” You whispered gently brushing the hair out of his eyes. “I know, but today’s the last day everyone is eager to leave. You were probably going to get really crushed.” He leaned his chin against the top of your head.
In this moment you could smell his neck and you realized that you took comfort in it. He allowed you to laugh around it even cry sometimes. It was your home. He was your home.
-
Coming back home after a long day of Jungkook being in your head all day was really exhausting. You felt like you were about to pass out the moment you stepped into your apartment.
Opening your eyes you were met with your mother’s chin. She had let you head lay on her lap. Most shockingly she didn’t take you to the hospital. “There is a guy that I realized after a long time that I like him, maybe even love him. But there is one small issue.” You started rubbing your eyes.
“What might that issue be?” She played with the strands of your hair. “He has feelings for a dumb girl that doesn’t even see him. She’s in a relationship with another guy.” You sighed pouting.
“You can just ask him out and see what he would do and if nothing happens just tell him that you want to remain friends.” She smiled. “That’s how I met your father.” She nodded. “But you got a divorce.” You blinked.
“No. Sweetheart, we just got separated. How do you think I can afford our home with my job? Your dad and I are still together but far apart.” She chuckled. “Is that why you never went on the online dates I set up for you?” You gained a laugh from her.
“Is that what you’re worried about? Just think of what you want to say to that boy.” She stroked your hair.
-
As night fell you came across the thing you dreaded the most. You could hear your mother’s snoring all the way from your couch and she’s sleeping in your bedroom.
It was three am when you decided that you couldn’t handle it anymore. You grabbed your pillow, left a note to your mother saying you were going to Jungkook’s house for the night.
You knocked on his door multiple times until it opened to a shirtless, tousled hair mess that you truly loved. “It’s three, what do you want?” He blinked. “My mom snores too loudly, I want to sleep here.” You pushed past him.
“Not like you were doing anything interesting anyways.” You place your pillow on his couch. He sat by the couch on the floor and took his playstation controller in his hand. His soft black hair tickled your neck.
You turned to your side after half an hour of being unable to sleep to see his fingers moving too fast for your brain to process. “Jungkook. Can I ask you something?” You placed your hand on top of his head.
“Go ahead.” He relaxed his neck. “What happened to your one-sided crush?” You played with his strands. “Why do you want to know?” He turned his face to the side. “I don’t know… I guess I want to know if you’re just as bad as me in relationships.” You sighed.
“Nothing is happening. I’ve been throwing hints at her. But she’s not seeing it.” He mumbled. At the moment you hear his words you realized that it was your first and final chance to approach Jungkook romantically.
“I have something I want to tell you.” Slowly, you sat up and his head laid between your legs, his back facing you. “What?” He looked up at you. “I’ll try this once. If you accept I’d be the happiest person alive. If you don’t I’ll hope that we could still be friends.” Yo smiled.
“What are you going to-” You leaned down to his lips and kissed him. It was funny to you because it was a low budget spiderman kiss. Your bottom lips were in between his and so was his.
He pulled away from you causing dread to creep up your chest. He turned to face you and then stood up pulling you with him. You stared as you began regretting your actions.
He placed his hand on your neck and kissed your lips roughly pulling you closer to him. You couldn’t breathe through his kisses. “You have no idea how long I waited for this.”
Jungkook lifted you up and you were laid across his bed in a matter of seconds. He placed his hand on your right breast massaging through your shirt as his lips attacked yours for dominance.
His tongue ran across your lips leaving a spit string before he lifted the shirt over your head exposing your perky nipples to the cold air. His hand cupped one of your breasts, rotating your nipple in between his index and thumb as he started suckling on the other hard enough to make you cream your pants. “Jung- Oh my god-” You moaned, gripping his hair.
You felt his fingers go beneath your panties in between your folds, he started to rub your clit in an eight figure as his lips smiled against your other nipple. He dragged his lips from her nipples to her belly and lingered for a while.
“Let me just-” He pulled down your panties along with your bottoms in one go. “Damn your pussy looks to fucking delicious to resist.” He sat down on the bed getting into a better position.
He started placing gentle kisses around your folds before he grabbed your thighs locking them into position. He leaned in and pecked you clitoris a few times before going in. His fingers moved to your fold rubbing it before he pushed two digits into your cunt slowly moved them in and out until you got used to it. “Fuck, you feel so tight…” he moaned into your pussy.
He started moving in and out as you moans got louder. As soon as he curled his finger inside your pussy he found your G-spot making you groan. “Fuck, Jungkook, fuuck.”
“Yeah it feels good doesn’t? Probably better than what namjoon made you feel, right?” He didn’t stop, in a matter of a fact his fingers rubbing against your G-spot went even faster causing your first orgasm to arrive. “You taste so sweet,” he mumbled. “So good.”
You could see how wet your juices got him, the wetness glistened around his mouth as he looked up at you and smiled before pulling himself up to take his sweatpants off.
Jungkook wrapped his hand around his erection and pulled it out of his boxers, placing it right in front of your mouth. “I’ve got something for you to suck,” he beamed, but after a moment his smile turned into a satisfied groan as he felt you wrap your warm mouth around him. “Ah, fuck me!”
You swirled your tongue around the tip as Jungkook gripped your breast and fondled it. You knew just what to do to get him to moan, you just took the tip, teasing the very tip of it with your tongue.
He pushed your head closer as he groaned, trying to make you take more of him in, which you willingly did. You tried to take as much of him in as you could, and your nose almost touched his lower abdomen.
Once you choked on him, tears slowly fill your eyes. “Ah, fuck, just like that,” he patted your head. “Go faster, baby.” You bobbed your head against his dick, taking all of it in. His mouth slightly opened in pleasure as he came.
You removed your lips off with pop. He smiled as he kissed your boobs. He pushed your legs up to get a better view of your pussy before slapping it with his dick a few times.
He slowly moved it up and down against your entrance. He leaned down peppering kisses on your collarbone, sliding up against your neck. “I am so going to ruin you.” He pushed his whole penis inside you in one go.
You arch your back on the bed. Jungkook’s hand slid to your jaw caressing it, making you coo. That, coupled with his cock caused your leg to begin shaking as he started to groan loudly. “Jungkook, I’m going to cum.”
Jungkook fucked you harder, hips snapping upward as you broke apart all around him. Your vision darkened; you couldn’t see or feel anything else, apart for him.
When he let go, the air rushed into your lungs as you pulled him even closer, allowing Jungkook to thrust a few more times before he came undone as well. You screamed squirting all over his dick. “Fuck!” You yelled.
He pulled himself out of you breathing heavily. He laid right next to you placing a few pecks against your neck with a small smile. “We need to talk.” He chuckled against your ear.
It took you a few seconds to fall asleep whether it was him wrecking you or the anemia acting up.
-
Once you opened your eyes you were covered with the blanket to your shoulders. His scent lingered on the pillow next to yours, but his body was nowhere to be seen.
You slowly lifted your body up to look for him and like magic he peeked his head through the bedroom door looking at you with his bambi eyes. He shuffled towards the bed and jumped in next to you in the most adorable way ever.
“Now tell me, what happened yesterday?” He comfortably wrapped his hands around your nude waist. You slowly sat feeling worried that he might’ve just wanted try sex with or wanting to keep you as a friend with benefit.
“Um… I don’t know what to say.” You pulled up the sheets against your chest. “Can I ask you something first?” You rubbed against the back of your neck. “Sure.”
At this point you didn’t know what to say. You wanted to tell him that you like him but you were worried that he’d want to end your relationship. “Who are you feeling?” Was the only thing that came out of your mouth.
“Great, actually.” He smiled. “You look nervous.” He showed concern as he squeezed your hip.
“I really like you and I am sorry. If you want to still see your crush, I’d be fine with that.” You leaned back to see his expression.
To your surprise, he started to giggle at you just like he did the first day you met. “You need to stop calling me a fool because you’re the real one.” He laid his body against yours after he flipped you to you back.
“What?” You stared at his lips. “I fucking love you, you fool.” He kissed your lips gently.
