One of my players is playing a 7 foot 3 butch tiefling with a 5 in charisma (she’s valid) so I gave her a warhammer pretty early on that is sentient and a lesbian which means only girls can wield it and it does extra damage to men plus it gives her a bonus with charisma checks towards girls
i-is
is she dating her warhammer
i ship that
avoid your players min maxing by periodically forcing them to change classes without adjusting their stats or feats
dnd commission for @anepict
Rooster teeth: we’re bad at romances so we wanted to have the gay romance happen organically Rooster teeth: lmao ok so the lesbian hands blake to her abuser because shes got a crush on her
Hey have you ever done a post on wild bettas? Like how different species are as pets or what size tank is needed? Or at least the tank size you keep your wild bettas in
Hi, there! :)
I haven’t, except for Betta albimarginata, which I have right here!
Basic Betta Albimarginata Care Sheet
The thing is, there are so many species, and they all have different requirements. You can get the big babes, like Betta macrostoma, and the wee babes, like Betta api api. It’s kind of tricky, too, because most people seem to keep wilds purely for breeding, so the fish often get shoved, in my opinion, into tanks that are too small for them.
With wilds, you really need to watch your water chemistry, too, especially when it comes to the pH. For example, you can get bettas that need water as soft as 4.0 pH, like Betta coccina, and bettas that do better in harder water, like Betta mahachaiensis. Then there’s been some observations that iron supplements benefit Betta channoides, for example.
Also, there are mouthbrooders that do better in groups and bubblenesters that still need to be watched more closely. When breeding bubblenesters, like Betta smaragdina, one must also be prepared for large batches of fry. However, mouthbrooders, such as Betta pallifina, tend to have much smaller clutches.
And, honestly, not enough people in the hobby bother to keep wild bettas as pets to really observe them, so the info you find is often very limited. I still only know a handful of people that keep wild bettas. (I’m hoping to get some more species in the new year.)
But here are some decent wild betta sources to get people started:
International Betta Congress
FishBase
SeriouslyFish
I hope this helps!
Letters to my players: why do you do stuff like tie up the vampire rogue with a skill modifier for escape artist in the 30s with his own weapon and then leave the room also I fucking love u n all ur characters are my children
characters never have any idea what they’re doing at any point
also like listening to the MBMBAM that came out near when TAZ premiered and they are def a lot less socially conscious back then. They weren't bad people by any measure but they were definitely lacking the awareness of their own actions and how they affect their fans they have now.
oh yeah definitely not and that’s why there was a little bit of back tracking throughout the podcast with certain things like i don’t blame them for not being the best like 3 years ago and i’m glad that they’ve grown to be better
