So, it was a Red christmas this year. Top of the league with as many games to go,and our number 7 scoring at will, makin’ opponents look like schoolboys who had just learnt to kick the ball.Unreal stuff,he might get banned by the F.A for practicing wizardry.Etihad, where good teams have faltered, is a formidable place to go,no matter how good you were in last couple of games or whether you sat pretty at the top of the league. 90 minutes of remarkable display later, we sit at the third now, having dropped 3 good points, but not overwhelmed by the Etihad experience. In fact,it was the most tasteful piece of footballing experience this season so far, with us having an edge over the upstart mancunians. Bad refereeing and clangers may have cost us,but woeful finishings and superb show by Joe Hart decided the game. Our number 7 was stationary compared to his usual outings, but he was in the midst when the first goal happened. Little protection from the referee could have been helpful, but our own man Skrtel the turtle has a neat reputation when it comes to ownin’ shirts that don’t belong to him,but he was brilliant blocking those shots which would have made our mr safe hands sweat a bit. Apart from the two goals, the home team didn’t do much to add to the tally, except for our man with two right foot ,Sakho who nearly came up with a horror show at our own end. Gutted that we didn’t get anything from this crucial game, but we put up a spirited act and didn’t loose our minerals like many others who came here and got devoured by the billion dollar beast. YNWA
