hello laid ease, i’m ron, she/her, 24 years old & from the gmt -3 timezone. i haven’t been in a group rp for a While^tm but when i knew admin cole & admin melly had a new rp out i just had to apply bc they are truly legendaric. anyway, a little abt me: i have three dogs, i’m brazilian & i’m a Film Gay. that’s all i think, now for the main show:

henry kline, heir to the Famous kline family and first born. never truly had real freedom and grew up with truly unforgiving parents which caused him to act out sooner or later, as all good privileged rebels do. doted with a business mind, after all he was groomed for it ever since he was but a wee lad.

erratic and unreliable, however, henry spends way more money than he makes. but the kline family fortune is as old money as the existence of hollywood itself. henry works as an executive producer and he makes sure to always get one leg up over his clients. equally machiavelic & capable, if you want your movie to be certified fresh on rotten tomatoes -------- you’ll come knocking on henry’s door.

tabloids love him, the citizens of l.a hate him. however, his reckless nature became bad for business a few years back, when certain rumors of his addiction started circulating. it cost the kline family a pretty penny to get the rumors --------- which turned out to be true, out of the papers. now, henry would frequent rehabs every now and then, and his parents decided it was time for henry to settle down

an unhappy marriage was arranged. never truly the doting husband, henry was never the kind to settle down, but in his defense, he doesn’t expect his wife to be faithful neither. loyalty is expected, but that’s all.

rich, rotten & decadent. henry is the portrait of the old hollywood, his deals not always being squeaky clean. he has friends in the highest and lowest of places. someone who knows the city like the back of their hand, and every single ugly nook of the city of stars has made him who henry is. but things are changing, and he’s not so sure the city has a place for him anymore.

mazen has always been a cali local. his parents, having moved from egypt soon after getting married, decided to settle in the sunny state where the jobs in both their respective fields were abundant. 

his father being a software engineer, mazen was exposed to computers from quite a young age. a lot of his father’s work was done from home so mazen got a first-hand look at a lot of his work. he soon became enthralled with the world of computers and systems and how a seemingly jumbled group of letters and numbers could mean so much in the grand scheme of everything.

with already having a knack for coding and being, well, too smart for his own good, it made sense for him to find a job that challenged him intellectually, but also encompassed what he so loved. he truly could’ve ventured into any avenue in terms of work and careers - but he enjoyed sharing a passion with his father. 

naturally, it took him a while to work his way up to a job he could see himself making a career out of. and while he did that, he dabbled into another venture : hacking for hire. 

yiK e every request you can imagine, maze has received it. but as he was using the money he got from hacking to pay for his cosy santa monica apartment, he couldn’t exactly be picky. for the most part, it was just men and women alike wanting him to find dirt on their other halves - which he did. 

somewhere along the way, he discovered that ethical hacking was a Thing and although it wasn’t what he originally thought he would end up doing, he couldn’t help but notice that he was good finding faults in systems. he now works for a company in los angeles that work alongside law enforcement. he still does his hacking for hire gig for any long-standing customers.

in general, he’s an overall good-egg and do-gooder. in school, he was the class clown of sorts who made sure all of his friends passed their exams against a lot of really shitty odds. he had a Nice upbringing with his parents and they raised him making sure he knew not everyone would have had the same. 

he loves food but hAtes cooking and frequents food places a lot more than he’ll eVeR tell his mom. he’s that fucker with a fast metabolism we all despise.

auburn hair. porcelain skin. sunkissed with freckles. ruby was born with those blessed features. it wasn't the first time the vandenburg's were graced with children. two years before ruby came into the world, sapphire vandenburg was born. two redheads that followed their mother’s hair color, that roamed the streets of albany, new york throughout the years and children louise and stewart vandenburg weren't willing to take care of, but due to both stewart's and louise's religion, they both strongly believed that keeping them for show was better than abortion. and so louise’s work as a fashion designer, family celebrations, dinners and public appearances were put on hold when she started to show, a cover up spread around in magazines that she was secretly working on something huge instead of revealing her pregnancy.

louise and stewart weren’t fan of parenting and completely neglected the two, left them up for nannies to take care of them. ruby grew up in a big house, though the building never felt like home. the redhead learned from a young age that she wasn't the favorite at home. not by the two people that were supposed to be her caretakers at least. but her older sister, oh her sister loved her to death. sapphire grew to be her hero. only two years apart and only able to rely on each other, they became close. ever since ruby was able to walk, it was sapphire she always went to, in photos the two were inseparable. the youngest always reaching out to the older redhead's hand, even at the age of 12, in times of ache, in times of need of comfort, in times where they needed to be seen, they were there for each other. until one day, ruby no longer could reach for her sister’s hand.

one calm night for once at home when both stewart and louise were home from business trips, sapphire had spilled her biggest secret to the two; she felt best describing herself as queer. this resulted in her sister thrown out of the house. with no money, no support or roof over her head, she had watched her sister walk off from the porch, crying her heart out herself. there had been nothing she could've done, ever since that day, she hadn't been the same. she decided to hide her own sexuality and become the perfect daughter her parents were desperately longing for.

as she promised to herself, within a year she had received her personal trainer certification with the supporting money of her parents to pay for her program. she worked her ass off to get in shape, with the help of her own personal trainer.

over the years, she expanded her client range by promoting herself online, so soon she had people requesting her as a personal trainer in the u.k. as well. traveling to europe made her happier, it got her to take a break from being in new york city all the time. 

london was the perfect escape for the redhead to escape from her parents’ grip. she fell in love with a client, someone that no one knew about and she could turn to whenever. a relationship that had its flaws but was something ruby could find a future in. until one day her girlfriend, turned ex-girlfriend on the spot, threw her out of her house unexpectedly and broke up with her. this caused her to seek shelter at their favorite restaurant, when her plane home got cancelled due to bad weather circumstances and a home she did not have in london other than her exes'.

entering the london lick heartbroken, she never would've thought the owner of the restaurant would ever take her in. give her the comfort and healing she needed. the next day, when she was supposed to go back home and live her old life again - she found herself not able to. she stayed with the chef, let her heal her broken heart and take care of her. simone luther had become her saving grace, who saw the beauty in her when the personal trainer felt the ugliest both inside and out. she opened up to her, cried in her arms at night until the demons that haunted her heart and mind were chased away by simone's soothing touch and words. the personal trainer forgot about work, or even travelling back home in the first place. until she received the terrifying mention to leave the country and go back to new york, as she didn't possess a visa. the goodbye had been cruelly painful the day simone had brought her off to the airport, but she promised to keep in touch every single day.

and keep in contact she did. despite their time difference and busy schedules, they managed to facetime at least once a week. and call whenever they could. a year later, ruby had gained the opportunity to attend the lgbt pride in london and there she ran back into simone again and with their emotional past they had created, feelings came into play. ruby's heart had grown attached to simone now, just as much as simone's had grown to hers. the day before valentines day they made it official. the two had become a couple that grossed everyone dear to them out.

ruby moved in with simone, got a work visa and honestly lived her happy life, there’s been some angst stuff i’m not gonna dive into (medusa:  yeah so she once got held up at a bank w/ some other peeps. robbery funsies. now she doesn't really like guns bc of it. rip.), simone proposed to her, they have yet to get married but they’re exploring the world first and diving deeper into emotions. that’s all !

one of those real, new yorker types. grew up all her life in brooklyn. very common, cookie cutter family. a mom and a dad, not exactly well off but financially above average, and two brothers. taylor’s always nourished a deeper love for movies and good stories. the kind of girl who would start books at ten pm and go to bed with the birds chirping outside as it dawned because once she started reading she couldn’t put the story down.

appreciates movies because they can take the most varied subjects and make it interesting, make it worth to be seen and understood. the best study of people for her has always been getting into what makes a character tick, what makes they do the things they do.

a child of divorce, taylor has to work through some unresolved issues yet. she’s not over the trauma of everything and it’s made her closed off in some ways. she hates feeling vulnerable, but desperately longs to feel seen, even if by just one person. don’t we all tho lmao

wrote short stories, some of them ended up published in independent zines, and she even had a fellow author shout her out in the new yorker. it wasn’t really difficult to get into nyu, and taylor became very prolific in her student years. she wrote over twenty short stories, and was featured in the new yorker as a freshman. so of course everyone thought the only way for her to go was up, right?

wrong. after a stellar academic participation, striking up as a screenwriter was harder than she thought. especially because she wasn’t one to kiss ass to get where she wanted. she’s very authentic, and it’s easy to read what’s going through her head sometimes.

a known party girl, taylor doesn’t want quiet moments in her life. her loneliness bleeds through her writing, but she’s never alone. has an array of romantic pursuits but never someone who’s really gotten to know her and be vulnerable with someone. she’d rather die tbh

a lesbian and proudly so, the kind who goes to rallies and is very outspoken about her sexuality. 

obsessive about certain things and thoughts. she pursues something to the end. and that has led her to the bottom of the bottle too many times, more than someone should ever experiment. a recovering alcoholic, it was time for a change of scenery, and since her talents weren’t being used in new york --------- she switched it up to sunny los angeles. after all, if she wanted to work in movies, she should go where movies are made.

she’s been sober for two years now. and it’s the longest she’s gone. even though sometimes she misses it, her work is better when she has a clear mind.

she’s an east coast gal through and through! grew up in maine with her parents, father being a artist from ireland and mother a writer from the uk, and lived a normal upbringing. nothing wild ever happened to her. her parents were cooky, sure, but they were loving and gave her a normal childhood. you could say she wasn’t the main character
