We are happy to announce the dates for this year's Angbang week:

May 6th - May 12th

Welcome one and all to the third annual Angbang appreciation event! Whether you're a previous participant, new to either tumblr or this pairing, or simply an event enjoyer who views and shares the new content, thank you for stopping by and taking a look! This year we have chosen to begin on a Monday with new dates rather than midweek, so the date of the event itself is a little later than in previous years, but everything else stays the same. (Prompts and additional explanation/info below the cut)

We would like to greet all new and returning participants and Angbang enjoyers alike to this year's week-long chaos couple event. Feel free to save the date or even spread this around if you're interested. As usual, any and all participation is welcome! We will be accepting any and all original creations for the upcoming event - visual, written or auditory, which is including but not limited to Fanfiction, Poetry, art both traditional and digital, playlists or other musical creations, moodboards, and anything else you may come up with. So long as they're new, or as of yet unpublished, created by you and feature Angbang, we want to see them and feature them! Unless it's an entire temple. Mairon has tried it several times before, and... well, we would prefer to remain undrowned if possible.

*We are aware of the nature of the first prompt. Due to this, we do ask that in addition to all relevant tags, you add the correct tag of either "scars" or "injuries" to your work on day 1 should you choose to post it, especially the latter, so that people could filter it out. We will likewise add relevant tags to works featuring these prompts so that anyone may filter it out if they so wish. *As you've noticed, this year's final "free" prompt is a bit more restrictive, and would encourage using one of the prompts from previous years, found here and here. One of them is free space, but we do encourage using one of the non-day-7 ones if you can.

Like in the previous years, we encourage you to pick whichever prompt you like better of the two offered that day (you can also wait for another day if you don't like either prompt, or combine the two if you prefer, or even make content for both prompts if you're really looking for a challenge / prefer not sleeping during the month of May, whatever you like). Once you've picked a prompt and made content for it, use the current year's Angbang Week tag, which is either #AngbangWeek2024 or #Angbang Week 2024, or tag this blog directly when posting your prompt for us to reblog it. Try not to post it before the event starts (you can queue up specific posts for specific days to help with that), do not worry about being late, and most importantly, enjoy! No need to stress yourself out over silly ship stuff.

⚡︎ Prompt(s): Injuries & haste ⚡︎ Synopsis: Mairon finds that Melkor has become just a little more mortal. ⚡︎ Warnings: Biting, scratching, some blood ⚡︎ Short oneshot (~600 words) | AO3

It had been a mere accident, a crime of passion so to speak. Between bruising kisses, teeth nipping at soft flesh and clawed fingers digging into exposed skin Mairon had no idea what had caused it, but even so he was alerted by Melkor flinching away ever so slightly, followed by the sharp stench of blood. 

"Precious? Are you alright?" 

It was an unnecessary question, for he could already see it. There was a wound on Melkor's cheek, like an angry red line that stood out against the cold, grey hue of his skin, and tiny droplets of blood oozed from it, slowly but steadily. 

"Am I... wounded?" Melkor asked, sounding just as confused. 

"You are." Mairon's mien shifted from desire to worry and his voice softened. "But I don't know how... well, I must have done it somehow, but why..." 

He trailed off. They both knew the unspoken truth that lingered between them — that Mairon shouldn't be able to wound Melkor. No one should be able to draw the blood of the mightiest of the Valar; and yet it had happened. 

Melkor lifted his hand to his cheek and gently touched the wound, then looked at his bloodied fingers in bewilderment. 

"I am bleeding," he confirmed, though more to himself. 

Mairon wondered if he had even seen his own blood before, considering how mighty and impervious to all harm he normally was. 

Gingerly, he moved Melkor's hand aside and snuggled up to him, leaning forward to lick the wound. It was the best he could do, having neither been instructed in the ways of healing nor access to any supplies, and he hoped that the fiery heat of his tongue would clean and soothe it. 

Any discomfort Melkor might have felt dissipated swiftly, and he allowed his lover to continue. Despite everything, Mairon felt a rush of joy and elation; the Vala was not in the habit of admitting when he needed help nor accepting it, and it was a sign of trust that he was allowed to take care of his wound. 

Even as he fell into a steady, calming rhythm, his mouth was filled with a metallic taste. Mairon had smelled and tasted blood before, mostly when he went out hunting, but the blood coursing through Melkor's veins had felt ever out of reach.

Not anymore. Now he could have it too. He could make even the mightiest of the Valar bleed, be it through his own strength or a moment of weakness on Melkor's part, and a rush of power went through him. 

Mairon stopped licking the wound and withdrew slightly. The bleeding had stopped, only a thin red line remaining. It would be healed very soon, perhaps within hours if the Vala's power allowed it. He looked at Melkor's face, his throat, his chest. All of his vulnerable areas were laid bare to him, and now the illusion of imperviousness and invincibility was gone. 

He wondered where else he might bleed. 

Melkor regarded him in silence, as if he was waiting for him to say something. Mairon met his eyes, then suddenly lunged forward to sink his teeth into the side of his neck, right where it met his shoulder above his clavicle. There was a grunt of pain, muscles tensing underneath and then warm, fresh blood filled his mouth. 

He was elated. Melkor was standing still, letting him do this, not even attempting to push him off; but most importantly, he was bleeding for him. By Mairon's hand, a god had become just a little more mortal, and he loved it.

Day 4: Iron

Mairon sets the newly forged iron crown onto his masters head. It will get a lot of changes over the centuries, but this is the first design. Melkor is thrilled, thinking about all the horrible things he will do now, that he is king of arda.

In the great depths of Angband, Melkor sought refuge in his companion. Mighty he had been, now lay weakened in the chamber—blood spilled from the gaping flesh; a trail of defeat from the battle.

Rare it was for an Ainur to bear a pain only known to the Eldar. A great being such as he, would be left untouched in his strength, but as The Sun had conquered the darkness, his power dwindled. The kingdoms he proudly built, had been taken by the last remaining light of The trees—how The Valar mocked him so.

Mairon shed the armor that Melkor wore with care, looking upon the injuries on his body. His face unreadable as his fingers traced over the bruises and the scars on his Lord's vessel. Gentle was his touch, reserved only to him. It was the peace that he sought, before a discovery of a wound interrupted it.

Melkor expressed pain greater than that of The Eldar, as his roar echoed through Angband. His legions shivered when his voice touched them. He peered down to the thumb of his lieutenant where he saw a sickly brown gash, reopened once more.

"Fret not, my lord. It is naught but an old wound." Mairon soothed the dark lord with a honeyed song. A melody all too familiar in his present, though with the same detachement in his eyes. He brought forth supplies from the side of the desk, as he carefully mend the opened wound. He brought the stitches to his lord vessel carefully, piercing the skins together.

Melkor then, winced similar to that of a snake.

For once in his life, Melkor was shaken. Pride no longer settled in his heart, for uncertainty had taken its place. His lieutenant sensed this, for fear flickered in his golden eyes.

Mairon turned his attention from the wound he's tending, to the face of his lord. Even in horror, allure graced his vessel. Such a sight provided comfort to the uneased Melkor.

"You shall not leave me," Mairon then warned in his true voice, though void of any sound that are familiar to the ear, it trembled with a great fury. "You have taken me from the guidance of Aulë. You have taken me to a life of darkness, where I acted as a lamp for your cause. Then you abandoned me for the very light that detest you. Do not fool yourself, O Morgoth, for my presence comes not from your false promises, but from my own choices. I have sworn myself to you as Ossë once did, only that, I chose to wait for you. You are mine, as I am yours. Not even your undoing can take you away from me."

Melkor found bliss in the cruel reminder, for he smiled with joy. His darkened finger then reached for his companion hair, a sight full of glory for he shone as the flames that sorrounded them. Frailed he may be, yet his sweet voice slipped from his lips with a deep rasp. "How loyal The Admirable one is to me. Always there to assist."

"You do not listen."

"I do, my Admirable One." There was sadness in his song, before he continue to spoke. His finger traced from his hair to his cheek, then to his neck. "But I will not be here long. All that is mighty will be replaced. Time is ever changing. Death or The Void will take me, but I shall not forget you. For even in darkness I shall be there with you, for you have binded yourself to me. Your light shall be my company in my punishment."

"You can not leave me here for what you did to me. I served for you. I lived for you. I sacrificed everything for you." Despair now filled his words. His voice spreaded further and stronger than that of Melkor.

"My Admirable One," there was silence from Melkor, yet his smile remained. He then, laughed—a bright laughed that was honest of love. "You will do well. You are beautiful and mightier than me. I will remember you as you will remember me. My kingdom shall be yours. You will succeed where I failed."

A sorrow, so unspeakeable, and beyond the knowledge of The Eldar, filled the room. The fire dimmed and now the darkness held over the chamber. A kiss to his companion forehead, from the cold lips of The Dark Lord, as he embraced Mairon in his arms.

"As I'm healing in your abode; we shall make best of what we could have."

This one is a gift for the wonderful @neldeathstar, inspired by this artwork. I took some creative liberties with the timeline and all, but I hope I captured the energy of the piece regardless. Thanks for all your hard work and enjoy!

"How do you want me, my lord?"

"Chained within the deepest pits of Utumno, where Arda's blood runs through her veins." 

Melkor looked at him with burning eyes.

"Naked. Ready for me. All mine."

Those had been the words exchanged between the two of them before Mairon had descended into the deepest dungeons of Utumno to make that fantasy become reality. 

Everything had to be perfect for his precious. 

Thus he was now standing in the middle of a lava lake, his wrists chained to a rocky column, his neck adored with a black collar. Attached to it, as well as to the golden bars piercing his nipples, was a thin golden chain that went around his hips and thighs. Mairon coyly crossed his legs to hide what lay between and pretended to squirm in his bindings. 

Melkor was regarding him from the entrance of the cavern, silent, but with an appreciative smirk. His icy blue eyes seemed to be on fire, smouldering and wild, fueled by the lovely image presenting itself to him.

He approached in swift, long strides, and Mairon suppressed a self-satisfied smile. His precious was always so impatient, but he wasn't going to complain. At least he wouldn't have to wait. 

"Such a pretty thing, all alone and helpless in my dungeons," Melkor purred and began caressing his hair. "Should I free you from such a predicament before evil things find you and take advantage?" 

"Yes, my lord, please," Mairon said, demurely lowering his gaze to play the part of a shy, lost Maia. 

"Of course, little flame." He could hear Melkor's grin in his voice. "But first I shall have you, as is my right as lord of this fortress." 

Before Mairon could pretend to protest, he was swiftly and forcibly turned around and pushed forward, his palms coming to rest on the rock's jagged surface. One of Melkor's hands came to rest on his neck, keeping him bent over, while the other grabbed his hip. 

"Now spread your legs like a good little Maia..." 

He did, spreading them as far as he could and keeping his hips raised, utterly shameless. His beloved adored seeing him in positions like this, he knew, all obedient and submissive. 

Melkor had begun to examine him by reaching between his legs. Instead of a proudly erect cock like his own, his fingers glided over soft folds, wet from sweat and arousal alike. 

"So excited for me already. What a lovely little flame you are." 

He wasted no time taking what was his. Mairon cried out in feigned anguish when he was penetrated in one swift thrust, speared on the Vala's cock as it tore into him mercilessly. Fortunately, his ever-faithful fána had prepared itself with sufficient lubrication and recognised his lover, eagerly taking him inside. 

Any pain he felt seemed like pure bliss to him. 

Melkor took him fast and hard, as if he was merely intending to quench his lust by using a helpless prisoner. The mere thought of being treated as such sent a powerful wave of arousal through Mairon, slick dripping all over the Vala's cock and down his legs. He was being used and possessed by a being mightier than he, one who would toy with him as he saw fit. His fána trembled with raw thrill. 

A large hand reached around him now, grasping his chin to turn his head. Obediently, he looked over his shoulder and opened his mouth when Melkor's thumb brushed demandingly against his bottom lip. 

"Suck," he ordered, pushing it inside, and Mairon did. 

Lips closing around the digit, his tongue caressed the pad of the thumb. He licked and sucked on it as if his life depended on it, imagining that he was servicing the Vala's cock instead. 

The effect of his eagerness and efforts was both powerful and immediate. Melkor came inside him with a low growl of satisfaction, filling him so thoroughly that seed spurted out of him and ran down his legs. 

Mairon glanced up at him, and his heart leapt with joy when he saw just how pleased he was. 

"I lied to you earlier," Melkor said then, his thumb pressing against his tongue to keep him from protesting. "I think I shall keep you here after all."
