Sooo... Quick backstory: I had myself all convinced that, lovely as these skellies are, I didn't need one, because I already have a Junga Toy skull, and I wasn't really sure how to fit another skeleton-creature into my dollyverse. But they were too cute to resist, and the glow-in-the-dark version ruined me.
I placed my order on November 21st and got the shipping notice January 8th. The item page estimated 3-4 weeks for production time, and it took just shy of 7 weeks.
I'm used to much longer waits for BJDs, so the few weeks' delay didn't bother me anyway...but even if it had, it would all be forgiven because they made a little card with a crying skeleton on it.

The box is simple but cute! That's the stamp on the back of the apology card. More cute skeleton-ness. I was already very pleased.
They also included a packet with 4 candies, but I forgot to take a picture of them. I will eat them soon. Candy. <3
But, of course, Zhivka is the main attraction! She's friggin' adorable. I cannot tell you what a ridiculous fuss I made. My mum was present for it and she didn't seem to know what to think. LOOK AT THAT LITTLE FACE THOUGH. AND THOSE HANDS. AND THOSE FEETIES.
The scapulae have little nubs that slide into the indentations on her back. They're held on only by the nubs, and they tend to fall off a lot. I could get them in fairly securely with a bit of fiddling, but they're still prone to bumping.
The jaw, on the other hand, has a magnet in it. There's also a magnet on the maxillary surface; when the mouth is closed, the magnet keeps it held in place pretty securely. When the mouth is open, the mandibles are held only held in place by a little ball-and-socket join; it's not as secure, but it still works reasonably well.
CUTIE FACE.
I picked the Sing sculpt because I liked her eye shape the best, but I never really noticed her fangs in the company images. It looks like she's the only model that has them. I cannot tell you how pleased I am that I picked her, because I am in love with those little fangs.
Silly posing time! I couldn't get Zhivka to stand on one foot, or do some of the other cool poses I've seen another skellie-owner manage, but she's still quite sturdy. (Removed the scapulae for the poses because they kept falling off. Might have to secure them with a bit of eye putty.)
Not the best at sitting; she has to slouch quite a bit to manage it.
Kneeling is awkward, but amusing.
The elbows are single-jointed and they don't have a great range of motion, but she can touch her great, big head. And stick a finger in her eye socket.

Next up was a trip into the pitch-dark basement. She was sitting in my hand and I have no tripod, so blurry as hell, but here she is glowing.
It's like Paranormal Dolltivity over here.
After that, I scurried back upstairs for eyes. Ran into a unique problem: She looks adorable in everything. I had a very difficult time deciding on eyes, because they all suited her. (I did have one pair of pupiless yellow eyes that made her look wicked creepy, but it still worked.) She wears 14mm, and her eye wells are fairly forgiving of even high-dome eyes. 12mm left gaps, and 16mm were too tight to fit in.
Sadly, no pictures of her trying on the eyes. The knot is so big I couldn't get the s-hook out through her neck. I held eyes in with a finger to test them out, but couldn't really photograph them that way.
Next up, wigs! I just pulled out a few orphan wigs to see how they struck me. This is the default Kiel Ent wig from Leeke. One of my favourite of what we tried.
Luts wig. Liked this one, too.
DearMine mohair wig. Did not suit her.
Another DearMine. They run a bit small, and her head is big. Not a good fit or style for her.
Another Leeke Ent wig. This particular wig is a hot mess, but I thought the colour was cute on her, and she looks good in short styles.
Still, I think I like her best bald! She might wear wigs sometimes, but I expect she'll run around like this most of the time.
I'm still figuring out all the details of her personality and story, but I know she's a cheerful, happy little thing, and she's probably getting some kind of a cute dress.
