Jace sat up in bed, drenched in sweat, hands feeling clammy. Breathing hard, his eyes roamed his bedroom. As his eyes adjusted he saw a shadowy figure sitting on the chair opposite his bed. He waited a moment, collected himself before speaking to the dark. “It’s not wise to be in a room with such a skilled shadowhunter, when he is plagued by horrific nightmares.” He said in a breathy, but neutral tone.
