i am so sorry this took so long! but it was such a joy to write (as Aurora always is)

may i present: Carlos and Reggie vibing with Aurora! hope you love this lil drabble!

Thunk...Thunk.....Thunk

'Reggie? you in here?' Carlos calls out as he wanders into the garage, spotting the bouncing tennis ball and a sleeping dragon but not the puppy-obsessed bassist.

'Reggie? Damn it, did you cross over and not tell me?' Carlos stands in the doorway, hands on his hips, searching around the quiet space.

There's a thud, followed by a pained mutter, "Carlos hey dude!" Reggie smiles, rubbing his forehead where the tennis ball just fell on him,” sorry I was in the zone” he does a weird arm wave that would likely have Alex denying his existence due to the awful execution of the move.

“Ohhhh you were invisible. Like a real ghost!’ Carlos grins wandering over and sitting down on the sofa beside Aurora, who lifts her head blinking tiredly, giving out a soft yawn accompanied by some harmless flickers of fire.

Reggie looks at him with a pout, a hand against his chest in mock offence,’ i am a real ghost Carlos, I float, I can move things, I almost had my soul burnt out by a very eccentric magician!’

‘Silly ghosts don’t go to suspicious places, it’s horror film logic!’ Carlos shrugs, patting Aurora’s head gently as she lays it on his leg, a soft, mostly inaudible purr of satisfaction echoing from her chest. “He was very convincing, okay!’ Reggie points still pouting like a toddler having a tantrum because he was told Santa isn’t real.

‘What can I say? I know my stuff” Carlos smiles proudly, crossing his arms and sitting back on the sofa, much to Aurora’s annoyance, a shrill chirp ringing through the air as she reaches up tugging at his sleeve, fire in her eyes, causing Reggie to laugh,"not dragons though.”

“I know dragons!” Carlos protests, holding his hand out to Aurora latches on, dragging it back to where she was sitting and nudging it with her head once she’s sat down,” see? Told you I know dragons’ he sticks his tongue out at Reggie beginning to pet Aurora again.

Reggie chuckles softly, shaking his head, "Julie wouldn’t let us get a puppy but keeping a dragon was allowed?”

“She kept you and your friends so I guess it's the same kind of deal” Carlos shrugs, sitting cross-legged looking over at him,” taking that as a compliment” Reggie grins crossing his arms, sitting back against the sofa’s faded colour back cushion going slightly transparent as he relaxes against it.

Julie had no clue Carlos could see Reggie, which made no sense to him when Reggie was by far the most harmless of the trio and the most relatable for Carlos, it wasn’t out of malice that she didn’t want her brother to be able to interact with her brother, more the visions of chaos that could occur if they did interact that made her keep them apart.

“How are you doing that?” Carlos leans over, his eyes wide with wonder, Aurora giving out a little huff of smoke as her comfort is interrupted by the new positioning,’ huh?’ Reggie asks, raising an eyebrow,’ Veggie you’re half invisible’ Carlos waves his arms about quickly replacing them on Aurora’s head after she singes him with a lick of fire.

‘AM I?’ he shouts with panic, jumping up, now fully opaque again,” wait….” he says, laughing as he remembers how he discovered that weeks ago and somehow forgot about it,” I can! I only found out the other day, pretty rad right?’

‘What does rad mean?’ Carlos looks at him with confusion, Reggie had come to terms with being eternally 17 but suddenly he felt as if he had been buried in the ground for the last 25 years and was now disintegrating in the sunlight, kind of old hearing such a question. ‘It was a 90s word for cool? You didn’t know that?’

‘25 years was ages ago'

‘I’m stopping you right there’ Reggie shakes his head, looking towards Aurora for a moment before widening his eyes.

“what?” Carlos looks at him confused, assuming he’s said something wrong.

"Your shirt is on fire” Reggie points with panic, Aurora grins up at the boy with mischief in her eyes,’ oh come on! It was a joke!’

“That's what you get for being rude’ Reggie crosses his arms with pride,” good job” he nods to the aurora.

It's never a dull day with the chaos trio.

Please tell me about the fanny pack

Okay, so I made a post (here) about how I want someone to write a fanfiction about Alex but his fanny pack is magical like Mary Poppins's bag and always has everything anyone needs.

@thedragonemperess did write a fic about it (read it here) but after people kept reblogging the original post I thought I might as well write my own take on it.

It's gonna be a 5+1 fic and I hope I can get the humor right, but we'll see, I'll keep you updated 💪🏻

love me like you mean it: oh man it’s an angst filled juke fic with them struggling to work out what they mean to each other after some sort of shocking life news and it’s a lot of them snapping and avoiding talking about their feelings. but it has a happy ending when their friends shove them into a room together to just sort their shit out
