Dear Charlie,

My fucking bones hurt, it remembers you and it fucking burns and craves for your touch.

I rejected the boy from Batangas. He brought me flowers and chocolates last night but I asked him to leave. You know, this is only me now, Charlie and I accepted the fact that I’ll be alone forever. I stopped taking pills to calm me and I think I’m getting better. I’ll be okay, Charlie. Thanks for reading this.

Dear Charlie,

I always believe that life is made up of the simple things. I’m starting to write again, I wrote two poems yesterday and it made me really happy. I also watched a talent show and ate ice cream on my way home. It’s something I should be thankful for, I’m here. Alive and living my life. I hope everyone will appreciate these little things. And there’s so much beauty in the world that kept me from believing that I’m one of those. Thank you, Charlie.

It’s the same guy again, Charlie. I’m happy that he finally found his person.

Gusto ko ng mawala. Gusto ko na lang maglaho na parang bula. I’m sad, Charlie. And it’s not the kind of sad that you can get over with for just months. It’s eating me. I’m sad at 3PM, when I’m laughing with my friends. I’m sad at 2AM when I’m watching my favorite series. I can’t feel anything. I’m just sad all the time. I started smoking, I don’t know, two months ago? Nobody knows it tho. I keep it as a secret. I’m so fucking sad I think I’m going to die.

Dear Charlie,

Mu grandfather died yesterday. Things were getting better yesterday. Not until we receive a call from my other sibling on my mother’s side. I thought I’m getting better. I was getting better.

Charlie, I’m starting to feel that this world’s too bad for me. The cuts and the deaths have been ruining everything. I guess this is how they’ll pay you for becoming an independent woman who just wanted to be happy. I wanted to be happy, Charlie. The news of my grandfather’s death woke me up last night and I’m fucking crying my heart out, Charlie. Silently. Everyone’s crying. I have to comfort my sister and my father. I weep inside the bathroom afterwards. It’s my favorite thing now. Crying and cutting inside the bathroom. I’m sorry Lolo for doing this. I’m so sorry. I hope you’re happy there. I’m sorry for not feeding the chickens right when I was there. I’m sorry for always ramblingg about how I would loved to cook your chickens. I’m so sorry, Lolo.
