angie-ms requested: "Would you write a fic where Sheldon kisses Amy at Caltech thinking that they're alone, but a bunch of students fills the hallway and Sheldon doesn't realize until they're all cheering and whistling?"
Thanks for the prompt. I hope you enjoy it!
Amy ran into Sheldon in the hall. It didn't happen often because they worked in different buildings on campus, but Sheldon was guest lecturing in a class in her building. She beamed up at him. It was usually a treat to see him while they were at work.
“Oh, hello, Professor Cooper,” Amy said with a wink. She recognized the jacket that he wore when he guest lectured.
“I'm not 'Professor Cooper.' It's one guest lecture,” Sheldon said.
“I don't know. I think the look works for you. I'd have a crush on you if you were my professor,” Amy teased.
“Does that mean that you don't have a crush on me now?” Sheldon said. It felt suspiciously close to flirting, but he decided that he didn't care.
“I do, but I also have girlfriend privileges,” Amy said as she raised onto her toes. Then she placed a quick kiss on Sheldon's lips.
“Not at work,” Sheldon scolded.
Amy pouted at him. She didn't do that often, but she couldn't help it. He was being no fun. It wasn't like they were having sex in his office or something. It was just one little kiss.
“Vixen,” Sheldon muttered before leaning down to kiss her again. His kiss was more forceful as he pushed her back against the door behind her. Without thinking, Sheldon turned the knob and kept pushing Amy into the room. He closed the door with his foot.
At first, neither Sheldon or Amy noticed the titters of laughter, but it was harder to ignore the wolf whistles or the clapping of the room full of students.
“And here is our guest lecturer, Dr. Sheldon Cooper,” the professor said from the front of the room. “I'm not exactly sure what principles of physics he is illustrating here, but I'm sure there is a purpose to all of this, right Dr. Cooper?”
Sheldon had stopped kissing Amy, and there were both extremely red faced. “Um. No. That was a mistake. I thought we were headed for a closet, not a classroom. I suppose the lesson here is to better calculate the angle at which you are walking while trying to get a little privacy with your girlfriend,” Sheldon said. The class laughed in response even though Sheldon was being completely serious.
“I'm sure that President Siebert would love to hear all about that unless you are done wasting my class' time,” the professor said.
“Hey. That's a valuable lesson,” one of the students shouted from the back of the room.
“I apologize,” Sheldon said. He cleared his throat and started setting up. “Are you staying for my lecture?” Sheldon asked Amy.
“No. I should probably get back to work,” Amy said.
“Okay. I'll see you later,” Sheldon told her.
“Yeah, you will,” another student yelled.
Amy blushed again and left the classroom hearing the cheers and shouts of the students in the room. She had rarely been so embarrassed in her life. Still, it had been one hell of a kiss. As long as she wasn't fired, it was worth it.
